(Adventure) To Delmon's Aid (Creamsteak Judging)

WhatKu said:
"Obviously the preists were somehow magicaly turned into creatures like the orcs. The question is, who or what can do this to someone, and weather or not they are still here."
As if noticing Troi's wounds for the first time, Thale does a quick jog over to the ranger and uses the last of his divine energey to heal him

Dropping command to cast CWL, 1d8+1 HP healed.

<Troi healed 8HP from Thale's CLW.You might want to save them, but remember that you can drop your cantrips as well for Cure Minor Wounds, it might come in handy later>

OoC:Oh, while I am not going to do this after every encounter...
They sure went doqn quick with Crits...
I believe that this puts Thale at Level 2. Please feel free to Level him before we continue. Remember 3/4 HP <6 for a Cleric>.

XP: 270 each

Velbrik nods to Troi. "Sure. But I don't think we'd make much progress tracking them backwards - we'd likely find they've been patrolling the area for a bit. Meanwhile, there's an open door there," he says, gesturing to the door.

"That suggests to me that someone who's not a half-crazed demon-orc has been through there. There were no other doors open, you'll notice, so either the orcs haven't gone through any of them, or they're in the habit of closing the doors behind them. I suspect the latter, which means our companions have probably been through here - and may have fallen under attack, if the creatures have followed the same line of reasoning that I have."

OoC:There were a few doors that weren't visible fromwhere you were on the wall. There are doors in the section of grounds marked with a pond, to your right (looking at the map). Or, you could go through the open door before you.

Troi listens to Velbrik, nodding his head a few times.

"Right." He says after the bard finishes. "Well, this door is closest," He says, indicating the open door, "so let's check it out."

OoC: I guess that means that you are entering, as nobody else suggested or countered what Troi said...

IC: Opening the door, you are immediately hit by the smell of burned wood.
Te sorce of this becomes evodent, as the foyer that you now stand in cotains a large pile of smouldering ash, quite a lot of burned objects (tables and chairs from the look) near an interior door, as if someone had started the fire just inside the room to kee something else out.

The (40' by 55') Foyer also has much in the way of broken pottery, vases and urns, as well as overturned statues, as if someone had taken the time to desecrate the sanctity of the place. there is the smell of feces and urine as well, and the lingering scent of gore. Though there are no intact bodies, ther room contains enough in the way of small bits of flesh to suggest that there was a big battle here, as well as a feeding, with the poor Monastic residents providing the main course.

There are a total of three doors, one on either side and one opposite where you entered (this one has the ashes in front of it).

"Well thats what losing all hope of finding survivors feels like. Now what? Do we seek vengance, not knowing if we can survive walking through the next door? Or do we leave, saving ourselves for certin, but having to live with the fact that we may have left our companions to their fate? I vote the left door"
