(Adventure) Trek to the Vinyard...

Velbrik sheathes his longsword and mounts his horse, his foot slipping on the wet stirrup once before he manages to get on.

"It might be a bad idea leaving these bodies out here, but we really don't have a choice!" he shouts, "If we're attacked again we'd never see them in time! To the manor!"

"Right, let's go." Zoe stumbles in a voice not so pleasant as before. "I've had more than enough of this rain already!" Zoe shivers as her long blond hair sticks to her face and het clothes are getting moist. If everyone get's back on their horses, she will ride slowly towards the mansion.

Thurgan showed the group the fetishes that he found on the orc-things pulling one off of one of the creatures to keep and examine when out of the rain. Revealing the brand, Thurgan asked the others, "Any know this mark. I don' know it at all."

As to moving forward, Thurgan grabbed the reins of his horse, eyed it suspiciously, and added, "If'n ya don' mind, I think I'll be leading my beast, er horse, from here on out. The thing already threw me and it wasn't stormin'.

OOC: I had posted this two days ago, guess it didn't take. The boards were very, very slow.

As they go, Troi sheathes his rapier and uncoils his whip, keeping it tight in his hand and keeping an eye out for anything that looks like it could be vaguely detrimental to his health. He pats his horse reassuringly as they go.

OoC: How much XP did we get for killing those things?

As he rides along Felix will try and recall whether he has seen the brand on the creatures before, Knowledge Arcana (+7) and Religion (+5)

OoC: I'm not telling Gnoeworks, :D Not enough to gain a level, yet...

IC: Moving cautiouslyyet steadily forward, the Companions advance towards the Manorhouse, until they stand a mere 20 yards from the front door, this closed. There is no sign of any livestock to be seen, and no light shines out of the windows. Most of the windows are shuttered, but Felix spots one that has the shutters open on the second floor.
Perhaps this is where the light was shining forth from...

OoC: While I understand why you choose to withhold that information, I would highly appreciate that, if in LEN, that you hand out XP as it is gained. Why? So that, if - for instance - Troi decides to leave the group right now, he still retains the XP gained for killing those things, which would make sense.

Troi looks up to the opened shutter. "Think this is a good idea?" He asks, looking around. "Yeah... neither do I." He looks to the door, and shrugs. "Guess I'll go knock... be ready, just in case, y'know?"

Whip still at the ready, he walks cautiously up to the door, and tries to open it.

Making sure her sword's not stuck in the scabbord, Zoe waits in front of the mansion with the others, trying to sense any evil aura's within the mansion.

OOC: No need to tell you until you actually leave the game.

Rinaldo dismount his horse.

"Finally at our destination... Hope there will be a fireplace, not orcs inside."

As he say that, he unsheet his short sword, but the guard stay lower, not to scare anyone who could open the door.

Thurgan spoke up as the group neared the mansion, "Hold, there Troi, perhaps ya want me ta take a look there first. Just in case, ya know."

With that he thankfully handed the reins of his evil steed to one of the others (or tied it off wherever the others did), and approached the door area - looking for traps or other items of a suspicious nature.
