(Adventure) Trek to the Vinyard...

Zoe yells: "Let's get them!" as she runs forward to take position on the first line, making herself ready for combat.

OOC: If the wolves happen to act first, Zoe will charge at one of them if possible.

ooc: I'm really sorry but I might not post tomorrow as I'm moving into my University :D, BAsically I'll stick with a fighter type at all times and shoot anything that is hostile and use knowledge arcana or religion on anything that seems to warrant it :D. I'll try and post again as soon as possible :D.

Felix shouts out to his companions

"Can we manage these or do you need some magical support?"

He will shoot an arrow at the nearest wolf in the meanwhile.

OoC:Natural armor is +6, as they are <if you hadn't guessed> Feral Orcs.
Both Zoe and Velbrik notice that the Wolves have a Fiendish look about them. I'll have to look up the move/attack rules to make sure about the exact rules, but the Wolves act on 21 as well. Troi gets an attack of opportunity on the one not attacking him as it races by.

Troi moves forward, even as the Wolves Charge in turn. He wasn't expecting them to move so quickly, but his blade is ready, and he slashes the one running past < 6HP>, then plunges his blade into the one charging at him <Crit, 10HP>.
That wolf leaps upon Troi, Smiting him with it's Foul nature <8HP in total>.
Troi manages to retain his feet, but gasps as the wind is knocked from him and he feels on the edge of going under <at 0HP>.

The second Wolf races by, snarling in rage as troi's blade bites it's side, Charging right for Thurgan. Both Felix and Rinaldo take the Opportunity to attack it, both hitting with their strikes <Rinaldo for6HP, Felix kicking it for 3, since he is bow-armed> The wolf ploughs into the ground, dead. Thurgan, seeing the desperate straits that Troi is in, sends a bolt winging towards the other Wolf
<Crit,6 HP damage>.
Zoe Charges the Wolf, stabbing it <for 7HP>, slaying the thing.

Velbrik sees a small figure racing down the hall , a massive Rat with the same loo of Fiendishness as the Wolves had. In the chamber, a shadow passes by the doorway, disappearing from sight.

Velbrik fires his arrow, catching the Rat dead on, killing it <8HP>.

Rinaldo is up again.

Velbrik keeps his bow up, ready to shoot anything that comes into his line of sight. He continues chanting, telling the story of Admaios as he confronts a powerful warlord who terrorized his lands.

Firing at anything that doesn't have cover from someone in the party.

Thurgan reloaded his crossbow and moved to cover Troi while he received medical attention. "Wolves 'n rats on the second floor of the house . . . and this was 'posed ta be the safe area . . . makes me wonder . . ." Thurgan mused, keeping his eye and his crossbow leveled at the doorway.

Rinaldo walk to Troi getting from his backpack, a small vial.

"Great job Troi, take this"

Handing up his potion of healing.

As Rinaldo gives Troi the Potion <9HP rolled, bringing Troi back to full>, and Thurgan and Velbrik cover with their ranged weapons <the others moving up I assume>, Thugan exclaims a curse as he sees a dark shape move past the doorway, firing refexively <missed>,the bolt sinking into the panneling of the wall beyond the door. You all hear the smash of glass, as if smething just shattered the window.

As well, all clearly hear something moving above you. Litle Daryn points to a seam in the ceiling and says 'Thas tha attic...'

Troi - Initiative: +3; AC: 16; HP: 8/8; Weapon: Rapier +4, 1d6+1

Troi nods at what the child says.

"Alright... we'll head up there." He says quietly. "Me an' Zoe'll head up there, then Rinaldo 'n Thurgan, then Felix an' Velbrik... I want all a ya ta have ranged weapons out, 'cept fer me and Zoe, but keep yer hand-ta-hand stuff close. And keep th' healin' potions handy."

With that, he heads slowly and cautiously for the spot on the floor under the seam in the ceiling, then tries to determine how to get into the attic.

Velbrik nods, having ceased chanting. He follows in the order proscribed by Troi.

As they walk, he asks the child, "Daryn, who else was in your house when you had to take cover? You said your mother, your father, and Jimmy and Orson - are Jimmy and Orson your brothers? Was there anyone else in the house? Do you know where they went after they told you to hide? What were they doing before?"
