(Adventure) Trek to the Vinyard...

"Seems they didn't flee far. Attack by wolves... Hey! Gunnarson never told he had taken any corpse from this place, and I see none. With all the figth and the blood we can see, it's sure their should be some. Where they are?"

Thurgan peers intently at the surrounding woods, seeing no sign of attackers.

There are no bodies in evidence...

"Ehm, guys, did you see that arrow?" Zoe asks. If anyone looks up to her, she points at the arrow in the tree. Other than that, she keeps looking at the surroundings.

Felix points out the blood to Velbrik and shares that it might be from a ritual. Thinking that this is probably quite important he calls out.

"Signs of blood here and perhaps a ritual! Since blood was spilled there might be some sort of trail that could be tracked from here by one more able at such things than I!"

"Yes," says Velbrik, "There is foul magic here at play - necromancy. And arrows, axes, and claws - what else fits that description but a werewolf? I have trouble believing that mundane wolves could be trained to work like this, especially when we correlate this with the Roadwarden's story."

He glances up at the sky.

"But what were they trying to accomplish? And the trail leads south; towards the wizard's tower. We ought to follow it. Carefully."

What's the weather like? Do I know of any rituals that require blood? (knowledge (arcana) +6) Can I remember if it was a full moon; also, how much do I reasonably know about werewolves, having already established that Velbrik knows they exist?

<South towards the Vinyard, actually. The Tower is East>

<Nothing specific comes to mind regarding a blood ritual. Perhaps if you had a better view of the site, unmarred by the mud and rain...
The Weather is quickly turning bad, with a full blown storm only hours away, though Troi was sure a few hours ago that the skies were on their way to clearing up. The Moon will be Full in 2 days time.
Werewolves are a Legend to most civilized folk. Those living in rural areas consider them very real, however. Those with the proper Arcane and Religeous training know that they are very Real.Yes, Velbrik can reasonably assume that they exist>

"But what were they trying to accomplish? And the trail leads south; towards the wizard's tower. We ought to follow it. Carefully."

"Hmmm... I would say the tower is more east of here and the vinyard should be south, and it is our next stop. I suggest we do it fast, we should ride now so we can arrive to the vinyard before the storm hit, so we can inspect the place before more rain clean the place, if there is something to find."

Saying so, Rinaldo wlak to his horse and mount it.

"If someone think there is still something to find here, we could split, one staying here to search and the other going to the vinyard, but IF there is werewolf, I would prefer to stay in group. What do you think?"

"Sounds like a good idea to me, we found what we could and anything left is going to get washed out anyway. Furthermore, I, for one, do not want to be caught out in the wildreness with a storm about to be unleashed on our heads and who knows what sorts of unnatural arrow shooting, ritual inducing, goblin beasts running about. Lets head for the vinyard at least there might be some shelter"

Felix Grins and heads for his horse.
