[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

Valahad hauls himself out of the muck and onto land. Speaking in the mind of the goliath, "Yes, they were tough opponents. Let us hope we don't encounter any more of them."

The kalashtar catches his breath, cleans off his armor and blade.

Feall carefully cleans his blade of sap and crocodile blood, then inspects the rest of his gear for wear and damage. Once he catches his breath he urges that the group press on.

River take a moment to recover, having been dizzy most of the fight, he also try to focus his mind again. "We better no waste too much time in this place."

"We need to be more careful here. I think Val and Kort need to be up in front at all times with Feall bringing up the rear. With Kort, Pok, and I up front, it was a bit touch and go for a moment there. I doubt anything will attack us from behind before we can see it, but those bugs were hiding in that tree right next to us and we never saw them." Sheeva says.

Sheeva will spend 2 healing surges to be at 42/43.

Kortauhk nods at Sheeva's statement and slams the flat of his blade against his shield repeatedly in the traditional soldiers clap.

"Kortauhk be in front! Kortauhk keep peoples safe so no be hurt! Kortauhk no like have bad guy on all sides so Kortauhk try look at place better. Kortauhk need see bug in tree or chomp-chomp in water so Kortauhk can make peoples go where bad guys not be."

[sblock=? for R1] Just cause I'm curious, how often did my Nature's Abundance power effect an enemies attack negatively (ie. cause it to miss)? Was it really helpful at all? Reason I ask is cause I'm thinking about switching over to a PH3 Skill power instead of using Nature's Abundance when Kortauhk levels up. [/sblock]

Hmm... can't be sure exactly sure, but it wasn't effective against the snake as her powers were bursts/blasts. The croc seemed to either smoke you guys or miss badly. The mound wasn't in the area, but couldn't grab Feall despite a pretty decent hit chance and the swarm was taken down pretty quick.

Personally, I like the power, especially in PbP where we seem to have more difficult encounters less often. Dailies are more valuable that way as it seems like 3 battles is sorta the max [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] You bring up some good points. Is it better to have a good power once per 3 battles, or have a medium good power once every battle... I'll have to think about that. [/sblock]

You continue on for another few days, the stinging bugs and wet ground prevent you from getting anything more than a couple of hours of rest at any given time. A welcome sight is up ahead, a settlement!

The settlement is built up on stilts above the water, offering a chance to remove your soggy boots and clothing after the time in the Shadow Marches. As you move closer, you see strapped to the poles bodies of humanoids, they bear the mark of Khyber on their foreheads, branded there. Thin strips of leathery flesh cling to eyeless skulls. Crows swarm the more recent dead.
