"I'm sorry my friend, maybe in the wilds, but here in Zarash'ak we hold ourselves to a higher standard. Tell you what though, you look like you've had a rough time of it, I'll give you the House rate on the rooms, only 8 gold each. " the propreitor says, offering an outstretched hand in expectation of payment.

Pok smiles from under his hood, that infraction will be going in my notes... Must remember this places name, giving out House prices for non-House members...

Silently slipping his hands inside the folds of his robes, Pok pulled 16 gold from seemingly separated pockets. Placing the gold in the proprietors hand, he indicates himself and Kortauhk, before stepping back behind Valahad, and waiting to be led to the room.

The gnome looks around the room, noting to himself windows, doors, possible exits... Whose moving, who are they with... Reading the writing on the wall, and trying to predict any danger that could attempt surprise...

"Hmph. Still outrageous." Sheeva mutters as she pulls out 8 gold pieces and slaps them into the man's hand.

"At these prices, that bath had better be damn hot, the food had better be delicious, and the bed had better be absolutely wonderful." she says as she walks past the man to her room.

"Or I might just burn this place to the ground." she whispers under her breath as she steps away.

Sheeva then takes the next two hours out in her bath. And then she'll miss dinner as she sleeps the afternoon and night away, coming down totally refreshed for breakfast.

As a seemingly total opposite of Sheeva, Kortauhk only takes a quick bath (only enough to remove most of the grime and smell), then gets Pok's money's worth by taking his appetite out on the establishment. During dinner, he eats as much as the establishment allows until he is so full that he has to waddle back to his room, fully satisfied and feeling rather rotund. Sleeping on the floor with nothing more than a pillow, he still wakes up feeling great! Waking with the rising of the sun, Kortauhk equips himself before meandering downstairs to the main room.

Eying the breakfast table, Kortauhk takes a small bit of pleasure in the worried looks of the establishments staff. Giving them a welcoming grin and a wave, he waits for his companions.

There will still be the evening scene coming with the half-orcs returning. I'll post shortly, just an FYI. [/sblock]

River walk back into the common room and sits down. He has left his battle standard and his chainmail in his room and he is wearing a simple clerical robe and his symbol of Arawai at his neck. He find a place near the fire pit and asks for his meals, which he takes time to taste every bit, thanking his goddess for her gift and this moment of relaxation.

Feall takes his cue from his friends, pays the gold and retires to enjoy his hot bath. He eats heartily but doesn't gorge.

Once his meal is complete, he approaches Valahad. "Think I'll walk off some of my dinner and see what the place has to offer. If I'm not back in an hour or so I may have gotten in trouble . . ."

[sblock=r1g]Assuming Val doesn't object, Feall will go looking for information regarding our quarry and/or the people he was sent to find. I don't have access to a dice roller from this computer, so if you'd be so kind as to take care of that I'd appreciate it! His Streetwise is +13.

He'll return to the inn after an hour whether or not he's found anything.[/sblock]

You spend an hour working the streets and find a few rumours, that a single man matching Valahad's description entered town and left within a few hours, heading north, deeper into the Marches. For those headed north, the river is the fastest way, but everyone's afraid to travel it with the cultists around, although maybe old Glasur would take up the challenge provided those going were looking for get some revenge on the cultists. He lost his family when they raided his village not four months ago. He'd certainly be drinking in the Sundial Tavern, a seedy place, but cheap watery ale abounds.[/sblock]

River and Valahad are enjoying their meals, with Korthauk having gone up to bed after his dinner, Feall out looking for information, Pok is looking around upstairs, and Sheeva not coming down after going for her nap.

The door opens and the female half-orc enters with a companion female at her side, moving towards Valahad. The females are revealing fairly revealing clothing, their well muscled bodies only further accentuate their orc blood. Kaia moves next to (or across from, depending how River is sitting) Valahad and the other female sits next to River. "Told you I'd come. Brought a friend, we could use a night out. So I looked inta that info you asking about. Someone saw a guy looked just like you, ruggedly good-looking, come into town on his lonesome, but that's about all I could find out. By the way, we found something you may be interested in. I want you to take these to remember me by" Kaia says, pulling a blade from her cloaked back, its silver edge gleaming in the lantern light. She also hands River a pink egg-shaped crystal shard, which he recognizes is a pretty valuable Eberron dragonshard.
