[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

"I'm sorry. Did I give you permission to leave?" Sheeva asks coyly. She then blasts the Tiefling with a massive gust of Thunder, shoving him into the water. Smiling, she does it again.

[sblock=Actions]
Sorry for the delay tonight. I wasn't home. Hopefully, the following will take out the Tiefling and make up for it.

Sheeva takes 10 poison damage.

Standard: Thunderleap on Tiefling, close burst 1 doesn't catch anyone else.

Thunderleap on Tiefling vs. Fort 24, 23 damage, second attack Fort 28, 18 damage

If the first attack misses, she will use her Lucky Charm to give her +1 to hit which will hit according to the unlocked stats (Lucky Charm is +1d6, so if the unlocked stats are wrong and she needs to roll it, let me know).

She shifts the Tiefling to N9 and then pushes him into the water at M10. He failed his save.

She then jumps to N9 and hits the Tiefling a second time. She won't move him a second time.

Total damage: 41

This all happens as part of the same standard action, so his Cape of the Mountebank doesn't help him until after all of this happens. He would probably need some Immediate Interrupt to stop any of this damage.

Sheeva heals 6 due to River's Astral Seal. I forgot, she doesn't need to use the Lucky Charm because River's Astral Seal gave the Tiefling -2 to all defenses.

Note: renau1g, Sheeva changed out the Cloak for the Lucky Charm a long time ago (because of WotC errata) when she got to 5th level, I just had put together the stat block off of an old character sheet. You should still have the Email with the change for her level 5 readjust the PC. I just noticed that the stat block was in error, whether it mattered or not.

If the Tiefling is still alive and teleports away and Sheeva still sees him, she still has a Move action left over and can jump off the boat if necessary and use an Action Point to Lightning Strike his butt. If he doesn't teleport away, Sheeva will let someone else finish him off.

Save vs. Poison 13 saves

He's still alive. He also didn't teleport away.

I do remember your change of gear a few months back, whenever that errata came about. That new one is magically delicious. [/sblock]

After the echoes of thunder recede, Sheeva looks down at the Tiefling "So, did the little something that I left for you to remember me by compare to the little something you left for me to remember you by? Or do you want to come back up here and try again?".

[sblock=OOC]
Ok guys, here's our chance. River effectively gave us all +2 to hit.

renau1g. If it is a jump check and if you fail on your turn to jump on or off the boat, the creature is prone. Is the Tiefling prone for being pushed off the boat because he never got a chance to do a jump check? He could try Acrobatics, but he needs to be trained in it to make an attempt.

If so, everyone is effectively +4 to hit the Tiefling with melee.

Having (finally) learned his lesson about getting too close to the Tiefling, Feall quickly takes a step back from the sodden form and raises his Falchion high. Shroud and Blade fall almost simultaneously on the wretch's neck as he writhes in the water.

[sblock=Actions]Move: Put two empty squares between Feall and the Tiefling.
Free: Assassin's shroud.
Standard: Inescapable Blade (1d20+16=27) vs. AC for (2d4+6+1d6.minroll(2)=16) damage.

Feall's pretty much a one-trick pony at this stage of the day/fight - and it's not even a very good trick . . .[/sblock]

River continue to pray Araway, his faith slowly coming back to him.

Having (finally) learned his lesson about getting too close to the Tiefling, Feall quickly takes a step back from the sodden form, although the tiefling manages a stab from his back, which and raises his Falchion high. Shroud and Blade fall almost simultaneously on the wretch's neck as he writhes in the water.

Your move draws an OA from the tiefling - vs ac; dmg; poison (1d20+7=12, 1d6+4=5, 1d20+8=15) miss. he has -2 from mark and -2 from prone. Triggers Sanction damage [/sblock]

Valahad focuses all his divine strength against the tiefling, slashing at the prone form and the clear water begins to turn red.

[sblock=Val's Actions]
Minor: Oath of Enmity on tiefling
Move: n/a
Standard: Enfeebling Strike on tiefling - vs ac; vs ac; damage (1d20+17=36, 1d20+17=20, 1d8+9=12) hits for 12 and he's at -2 to attack rolls TENT
[/sblock]

The tiefling curses and says "Khyber will have your souls, just wait" as it stabs at Valahad. After the blade pierces the kalashtar's leg, the tiefling disappears from view.

[sblock=Terrain]
Illumination: Dim light from stars - bright light within 20 squares of O14
Boulders: A DC 15 Athletics check allows a character to jump up on a boulder as part of a move. Otherwise, they are difficult terrain.
Boat: It takes a DC 10 Athletics check to jump from the shore; DC 5 to jump back. On a failed check, a PC makes the jump but falls prone.
Water: It's shallow enough here not to present a threat, but its difficult terrain
[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Tiefling - Immediate Reaction to Valahad attacking - Demonic Frenzy - vs ac; dmg; poison (1d20+9=27, 1d6+4=6, 1d20+9=21) Hits Val for 6 + 10 ongoing poison

On its turn, double teleports and is invisible.

Status:
Feall: 35/37 hp - used 3 surges, used Targeted for Death & Shadow Soul,
Sheeva: 37/43 hp - used 0 surges, used 0 daily powers
Valahad: 40/63 hp - used 1 surge, used Wrath of the Gods, 10 ongoing (save ends)
River: 39/49 hp - used 2 surges, used Moment of Glory,

Tiefling: -284hp, used 2 AP, bloodied, -2 to attack rolls TENT (Val), -2 to defenses TENT (River)

Tiefling's unlocked stats: Will is lower than 25, Ref is higher than 19, Fort lower than 26, AC is 23

Initiative:

Tiefling - 25
River - 4 <- you're up (delayed)
Sheeva - 24
Feall - 21
Valahad - 14

init (tiefling, sheeva, river, val, feall) (1d20+13=25, 1d20+6=18, 1d20+1=4, 1d20+3=14, 1d20+7=21)
