After a few moments, Lanharath stops his chase, knowing he can't catch up, and he shakes his head as he returns to the group.

"We couldn't catch him. We'll get him later."

Lanharath meditates for a moment, thanking Il-Yannah for her protection during the last battle, and for providing River to him, for without such, he would surely be dead. Lanharath looks around the battlefield for any interesting clues.

From the look on the face of the other kalashtar, Valahad knows that Lanharath couldn't catch the tiefling. After searching the unconscious and dead for clues and valuables, the paladin takes a moment to catch his breath.

Valahad looks at Sheeva, waiting for her to say something.

"In the meantime, ..." Sheeva spins around walks up to Val, slaps him on the chest of his platemail and says:

"Good job there Val taking out Scarface." as she walks past.

"I've been fooled... I though the Flame was warding us from there blow... there weapon was simply changed by the illusion of there power. They were fighting with light weapon changed into heavy weapon." River sits down into the step of the stair. Is my faith blinding me?

As the party begins picking over the corpses, you find a veritable trove of coins held by the members of this group. A total of 1008 gold coins are found amongst them, one of them is wearing a set of leather armour that Pok and Sheeva identify is magic, as well one is wearing a rather nice looking belt, also enchanted.

All of the slain foes are wearing a rough silver talisman set with an empty space in the middle of it where something, either a stone or jewel would likely sit. A note gives descriptions of each of you, with notes about each of you and your abilities.

[sblock=Holy Reward Points Batman... I mean DM!] Since I am replacing Lan now, how do I show to the judges that I earned this XP and used Lan's RP points to gain a level, and then retire him? Will I need to submit Lanharath for a level-up review (so that he can use the 4 RP points), and THEN retire him so that I can bring my replacement in as a 5th level character? [/sblock]

Well you don't even need to use RP as the 2048 + 3750 starting amount = 5798 (more than the 5500 level 5 xp amount). I would say avoid sending in for a level review right before retirement, waste of time. I'd say link the post (once THB approves) to your Lan CS and then create a link on your new PC's CS to Lan's page so that the judges can see that he was level 5
