There are three creatures here, two of the are grim, emaciated humanoids with disease-hued flesh. Their eye sockets gape, open and empty, above a mouth with a protruding, wormlike tongue. Writhing cilia cover their bodies. with longer tendrils around their heads; two wiry tentacles protrude from bare shoulders.

The third has their back to you, a heavy cloak and flowing robes hide the body shape from you. They speak in a strange, alien sounding language. They stand in a small clearing, 5 backpacks lie on the ground around a pair of tents. As Stinker moves around, she/he/it sees a large figure tied down inside the farthest tent, it is a goliath, although it's tied up in a hunched position, hands and feet bound together with silk rope. The creature is either unconscious, asleep, or dead, many wounds cover his face, whoever he is, was the subject of a brutal beating.

You were in Drooam, escorting a rich half-orc member of House Tharask on a big game hunting expedition, his chosen type of game were wyverns, great beasts that were a blight to the travelers of this land. It seemed like a good gig, you were bored in the Tower's Shard anyways. He assumed you'd be safe from most of the threats native to Drooam, as his house had some ties to the ruling hags. You were standing watch last night when a group of four abominations ambushed you and your charge. They were grim, emaciated humanoids with disease-hued flesh. Their eye sockets gape, open and empty, above a mouth with a protruding, wormlike tongue. Writhing cilia cover their bodies. with longer tendrils around their heads; two wiry tentacles protrude from bare shoulders. Their tentacles wrapped around you, draining you of your strength. You fought valiantly, even slaying two of their numbers, but were overwhelmed by them. The half-orc was eaten by these fiends last night, they didn't even cook him. You've also heard them mentioning taking you to the Shadow Marches for a sacrificial offering.

You're currently tied up in a tent, hands bound to feet, your armor and weapons stripped from you. Whoever tied these knots left little in the way of maneuverability and you can't get any leverage to snap them, at least so far. [/sblock]

[sblock=R1] Kortauhk raises his head and looks around the tent that he is in for his weapons and armor, and looks around to see if he can tell where any of those creatures are. Once he has done that, he will look at his bindings to see what they are made of and try to determine if there is any possible way he could squirm around to loosen them. [/sblock]

Continuing to brood in silence the gnome illusionist took a seat, closing his eyes to meditate.

He held his wand in one hand, and his other rested in a fold of his robes. When Loki entered the camp, squeaking out his findings, Pok listened intently.

Three enemies, and one prisoner. Unless someone believes they are more stealthy, and also more adept at releasing binding, I'll free the prisoner. No hope that we feel like ignoring this dalliance, and resting for the arduous mission we embarked upon originally? as usual the d'Sivis is concise, looking for the groups decision.

He wraps himself in the shadows of his cloak, already knowing what the zealously good crew would decide. *Protecting these people is akin to keeping the sand on a beach.*

Loki the skunk scout scuttled up Pok's leg, resuming his place hidden in the folds of the wizards garments.

"Pok, that sounds like an ideal job for you! You are by far the sneakiest of our motley bunch, my friend." Feall's slight smile is genuine and warm.

"We were brought here for a reason. It is not my nature to leave the helpless in possession of creatures like this. River and I will be the bait, the rest of you wait for surprise. Pok, perhaps if the confusion, you can move to help the prisoner. If things go worse than expected, be prepared to help in whatever way you can."

[sblock=R1]Any decision on whether we can use our new daily's or not?[/sblock]

"Ok, let's do this. Does anyone have a candle that Val can see the ground with? He can be in the back of the group and cover it with his cloak until we get close." Sheeva says standing up.

[sblock=renau1g]How far away is this? We'll probably want to stop about 500 feet away or so.[/sblock]

It's about a half hour walk for you, maybe 40 minutes or so for the heavily armoured types, or about 1.5 miles or so[/sblock]

"Sheeva, why don't you take point, since you've walked the way before. It's your call when and where we should split up and set the ambush."

As the group proceeds, Feall takes a position just off the road for more concealment.
