As a teenager I found a great deal of inspiration in Zeppelin, especially the Battle of Evermore. Fear the "dragon of darkness! " :)

Thick as a Brick (the 45 min version) by Jethro Tull is a great source for ideas too. I should probably thow the whole "Heavy Horse" album in here too.

The spells Hand of Doom and Sleeping Village that appear in the Primal Codex were both inspired by Black Sabbath.

When our group played DC Heroes in the early '90's, all of my supervillains were named from the thrash metal group Overkill. Every one of their song titles (well, practically) worked fantastically for supervillains. :)

Curse you!!! I woulda won in a half-second if I'd seen it first, since Nerves is actually one of my favorite two or three Bauhaus songs! :D
(Neilson voice) Shirley you *JEST*.

(Get it? His board name? Get it?)

BWA-ha ha ha ha! Bad puns win again!

Another VNV Nation fan! Rock on, dude!

In the same genre, the entire album Welcome to Earth by Apoptygma Berzerk would make a great Dark*Matter campaign.

Not quite a song, but my adventure "The Return of the Blessed Damozel" was based on Dante Gabriel Rossetti's poem, "The Blessed Damozel." That adventure was in Dungeon 92, I think, or some issue right around there. The text of the poem is here.
