Airwalkrr's 4e Game IC: Ch 2 Amnesia

Erik

"I'm Petron's brother. Wizard. Anything else? ...
Ah... forget it. I'm Erik, nice to meet you."
Erik begins, pointing at his brother, but then rethinks and 'removes' his 'social armor'.

Petron girth teeth at the witch display of the girl. Suddenly, Petron appears hiding behind Erik. "I think she's a witch... Is it a good idea to take her with us? Have you seen how she brainwashed the fat lady? She gives me the eeek..."
'Gives me the eeek' is a phrase Petron and Erik used to say that something was troubling them, mentally or physically. Usually, Petron was more mentally challenged, while Erik was physically. As complementary as they are, usually one brother took care of the 'eeek' of the other.

Erik

"It isn't worse than me transforming someone into a toad... We will adjust a bit. Perhaps it was just a heightened persuasion ability and no true mind control."
Erik silently explains his brother.

"I assure you," the young girl says plainly, "I am most definitely not a witch. But people do tend to listen to me... when I want them to. My father always taught me it was a gift to be used with dis... discresh...well I think he meant to be careful. I think this was one of those situations. Miccah has been nice and all, but I don't want to spend my life here living with these people. And besides, my father said to trust you. That's good enough for me."

The child speaks with a boldness and sense of self-determination not common to those her age. She couldn't be more than 12 years old, possibly quite younger.

"Ahem," Omar clears his throat. "I am not a little girl who needs looking after. I can pretty well take care of myself," he says patting his breastplate. "I'm only going along with you because that half-elf insisted I have an escort. And besides, judging by the events I just witnessed, something tells me that little girl isn't exactly helpless either."

Awna looks around at your group and asks, "So when do we leave?"

Of course Omar,of course.well,if everyone here don't need a rest,we can move on now.otherwise, let's rest for a couple of hours.what you guys say?

"Yeaaah" Petron says, putting an arm around Omar's shoulders with a "Yeah" look in his face, as he nodded. "Look, I can't even grab the whole lot of him! Haha!"

The night is cool and enjoyable, except for the constant barking demands coming from Madam Rilfree to the goodwife which wakes you several times during your sleep. You are glad to be rid of her in the morning. The journey to the shrine to Avandra is not far and should be easily accomplished on foot so there is no need to ride atop Madam Rilfree's carriage in the morning, a fact that you happily savor.

In the morning you awaken at dawn. Awna sneaked into each of your rooms and woke you bright and early. It seems she had packed a few things, what little she owned, as well as some food for the journey given to her by the goodwife and her husband. She is itching to get started on the journey. Omar is a little more sluggish in getting ready, but he manages. Gathering in the central hearth room, the goodwife serves all of you a mug of warm milk and boiled oats with a bit of molasses on top for breakfast. Before long you are ready to proceed with your journey. It seems Madam Rilfree, her servants, and her carriage have already left in the morning when you awake, so you will be walking to the shrine anyway whether you wished it or not.

"I've never been on an adventure before," Awna says as you step out on to the road. "Do you think we'll meet goblins in the mountain pass? I hear there are goblins out there!"

"If we meet those hideous creatures, I can slay them with my mighty arsenal of weaponry. Or, you can mind control them. I could use a thrall or two." says Petron with a wink.
