"He's not here," Thamior says as he views the corpses of the fire beetles. "Maybe they somehow got him before we made it here," he suggests.

As you gain your bearings after the battle, you get a better look of things. The beetles are large, to be sure, but not hardly large enough to have devoured Kit in one gulp. There are two exits out of the room besides the corridor on the west from which you arrived. Directly to the left of the corridor from which you entered is another hallway heading north. At the far end of the room near where you encountered the beetles is another hallway heading north.

"Very well," Thamior says as he looks at the door Velaska had suggested, trying to map out their trip so far in his head so they don't get lost while trying to get back.

Luth - Human Ranger

Luth dips his longsword in the glowing goop from the dead beetles before moving towards the front of the party again. "We're going pretty good here. If we can avoid getting tricked again we'll make it out of here healthy and comfortably richer."

Hanon unslings his shield and sets it on his arm. Holding his mace like a torch he nods that he too is ready to follow.

[sblock=OOC] we have a set marching order? may be good to have one in the first post so we don't need to keep figuring out who goes first. Just say use standard marching order and be done. If people are hurt and we need to change it up for other reasons then we can decide a new one for those situations. [/sblock]

Heading up the westernmost north passage you travel along for about 18 meters before coming to a right-hand turn. Interestingly enough, following that passage a short distance (again about 18 meters) brings you to a turn southward, quite possibly heading back to the room with the beetles. You need not continue south however, for in front of you (east) is another great doorway.

[sblock=OOC]A marching order is not necessarily required since many first round actions will be spent arranging battle lines. AD&D is not a tactically complex system when it comes to movement and position. I will presume the fighters take point while the casters bring up the rear unless you want to spell out something more detailed. It might be important in the event someone triggers a trap, but unless a trap targets a single individual it is likely to affect several of you anyway, in which case those in front may get a saving throw of some kind.[/sblock]
