Airwalkrr's Maure Castle 3.5 OOC

Looks good so far Knowledge Checks. A few suggestions, if I may:

1) Endurance and Diehard are rather weak choices for a campaign with this level of challenge. You might want to consider the following instead: Combat Expertise + Improved Trip, Cleave + Improved Sunder/Improved Bull Rush/Improved Overrun/Flay/Intimidating Strike, Improved Bull Rush + Cometary Collision, Combat Reflexes + Exotic Weapon Proficiency (spiked chain). Steadfast Determination is nice for a warrior archetype, but they really don't need a lot of help in the Will save area as they are usually raging and getting bonuses to Will saves from that.

2) Armor Specialization (Hide) should be replaced with Armor Specialization (breastplate) or Armor Specialization (mithril full plate). There is no mechanical benefit for any character aside from a druid to wear hide armor.

Just suggestions, but they will help you survive.

As for roleplaying, there are barbarian tribes in the Bright Desert. You don't necessarily have to be a member of one of them. You could be someone from a civilized area who chose to live with them and learn their ways. You could also be someone who lives on the fringes of the city of Greyhawk. There is a lot of wilderness nearby despite it being a relatively civilized area. Barbarians don't learn their skills in cities. If you are looking to play a character who grew up in a hard life on the streets, that would be more like a rogue.

While Endurance is a weak feat, Diehard & Steadfast Determination are both good ones. However, how are you ruling that Diehard interacts with the Death & Dying rules? It's not immediately clear, so the feat may not be worth taking depending on the ruling.

I feel that having a high Will save is crucial, as normally the big stupid fighter is the one hit with the enchantment spells. The high Will save via Steadfast Determination is one way to mitigate that, and the other is the Mad Foam Rager feat, so I like to keep him well covered with that regard. :)

Already switched Hide to Breastplate, see my updated submission on post #267.

For the fluff, I'm going to look into the Hold of Stonefist / Stonehold area that Rhun suggested. Given that the guy isn't a normal barbarian (he doesn't have Rage), I don't think it'd be a problem to have him be trained in a different type of environment. I see his Berserker Strength as a type of specialized/exotic shock trooper technique.

Sounds like a solid plan...though hopefully the rest of us can help draw the ire of any magic-using foes to help keep the tank from getting overwhelmed.

Knowledge Checks, if your character is done then feel free to post to the Rogue's Gallery.

We are still looking for a skill type. A rogue or beguiler would be ideal as both would offer the expertise needed to deal with traps, locked doors, and stealth.

I remember the old days, where any type of recruiting would result in at least a half-dozen people whipping out concepts within 48 hours.

Yeah, those were the good ole' halcyon days of EN World PBP. I think a lot of players have moved on to other things. There are many mediums for online rp these days.
