Airwalkrr's Shatterscape OOC (D&D 3.5)

Good stuff, Kenku17.

Is anyone going to create a character? I've put together a few things for you to run through already so I am ready to go whenever you all have characters ready.

Ill start working mine out tommarow. He's going to be a Defender(Cleric) from the Order of the Changing Sky. You have an RG post?

Okay, since we have a cleric, I'm going to go with my dwarf. . . I was leaning towards him anyways. I'll write up his background tomorrow, and hopefully put together the character over the weekend.

One other idea that came to me, is a unifying element for our characters.

I don't know if you already have something planned for this Airwalkrr, so if you do, feel free to ignore this suggestion. But the Kenku's post brought my mind back to Narovan and the Dawn House, and I thought an interest opening for the campaign would be to have us all come up with one reason or another why our character is out at night in Narovan. From there we get a chase scene where we each try and avoid an assassin on our tails before we all meet up inside the Dawn House, a group of strangers brought together by the vagaries of fate (or the hidden plans of the Lawgiver, depending on your personal leaning).

Have you been sneaking a peak at my notes or something?

. . . reminds me of an exchange I once had with a Star Wars GM.

Real Life said:
GM: The man is obviously convinced by your interrogation, but something terrifies him more. He babbles something about "The Maw" over and over again.

Hafrogman (OOC): Right, and so we all sneak into the secret Imperial facility, hijack the newly constructed 'Deathcube' and use it to fight off the Yuhzan Vong. :p

GM: *Blink blink* *Mutter, swear* *Pulls out campaign notes and starts erasing* Well so much for THAT campaign!

Or, alternatively. . . Great minds think alike! :)

Nearly ready. Do you want us to post directly to the RG?

Meanwhile...

[sblock=The Test of Bees]
In rural communities the church of the Lawgiver is frequently accompanied by bee hives. The local akolite, should the community be lucky enough to support one, will frequently expound upon the nature of bees: 'Bees embody the Law. Their actions are precise and ordered...' The sermon will continue in this vein for some time until the akolite wraps up with: '...following the Law holds honey-sweet reward,' or a similar sentiment.

Bees do hold a purpose for akolites beyond honey production and metaphor. Bees are 'ordered' and cannot abide the presence of the 'disordered' becoming agitated whenever someone who has recently touched or been touched by chaos is present. An akolite, knowing this propensity in bees, will sometimes carry a 'bee-box'.(1) When near a dream creature, a chaos-wizard, or the like, the bee will become agitated, flap their wings in a distressed manner, and cause the box to rattle and buzz announcing the dangerous presence.

(1) A small wooden sphere designed to hold living bees. Many are ornately carved and painted and some even inlaid with gold and precious gems. Bees and bee-boxes were so predominant in the age immediately following the Dreamer that the bee has joined the book as symbol of the church of the Lawgiver.[/sblock]

Funny story, hafrogman. Heh, heh, deathcube.

Characters can go right to the RG if you wish. You have a pretty long leash anyway. I'm interested to see what you come up with.
