Nice picture

Now I'll wait to hear something nice about the film -- so far I've heard nothing either way, but I tend to be leary of Hollywood-treatment bio-flicks

Then again, I am quite willing to be surprised/delighted :)

This is the Oliver Stone Alexander film. Baz Luhrmann (sp?) is also doing an Alexander flick starring Leo DiCaprio as the boy-man-warrior.
I've been looking forward to both of these. I am actually more interested in the one with DiCaprio that is due out in 2005.

Out of the upcoming "historical" movies I am looking most forward to Troy, mostly because of Brad Pitt and the other actors and actresses involved.

They all appeal to me, either way. :)

...okay, now I'm officially scared...

Brad Pitt? Achilles?

**sigh**
Yeah, no kidding. I had always assumed he would be playing Paris. But Achilles? Suddenly I'm having Matt McCaughnahey Reign of Fire flashbacks. So I wonder who they got for Paris. Probably some sucky unknown actor who has never even set foot on the set of a blockbuster film.

....oh the irony. According to IMDB, Orlando Bloom is Paris. :D

But what I'm really liking there is Sean Bean as Odysseus...I can see that one the best of all.

Who's he? The guy who used to do those 7-Up ads? How stupid...

No, no, he didn't do the stupid 7-Up ads. He wrote a bunch of crappy children books back in the 60's and 70's.

Lame... :D
