Alias - Season 4: Getting Better [Spoilers]

John Crichton

First Post
There was an ongoing thread sitting around for about a month addressing the many shortcomings of Alias this season. There wasn't a consensus but many of us were not impressed at all with the opening episodes of the season. There was a little improvement but for a while it seemed like they were Going Through The Motions (tm Mutant Enemy). The drama was bleh. The characters never felt like they were ever in any real danger. The show was still watchable but seriously missing something.

Well, now we got it. The big double/triple-cross then a misdirection. The Sloan. The OTHER Sloan?!?!

Attack of the Sloans?! WTF!?!?

Well, the "WTF moment" is what has been missing. We all knew something was up and in classic Alias style they hit us with the evil then turn the tables to another evil. Jack is turning into a mutant ninja turtle. Vaughn finally seems smart again. Arvin Sloan becomes more evil, then less evil then more evil again. RAMBALDI BOOK, RAMBALDI BOOK!!!

In short, the season is starting to pay off.

Thoughts?

Uh, yeah. Exactly what you said. Capitalizations and everything. :D

I was only a bit miffed when Vaughn opened fire, heavily, on poor Dixon. Now, I'm sure that Vaughn (being CIA) knew CIA SOP and that Dixon would likely be in a vest, but still... (Then again, I'm biased - I despise Vaughn and I like Dixon.)

Hopefully they can keep it together. And more Rambaldi stuff.

I had to rewind my tape, twice, just to make sure...that it was not a DOUBLE. I was looking at, but man...that was unsettling anyway. Now Jack is going to mutate?

And funny, I just started to watch this season too.:o I know...where was I for the previous seasons.:o
