If you are going to throw out accusations of laziness left right and centre, then yes. One thing I'm sure of is the writers (and game designers, who often get the same accusation thrown at them) is that they work damn hard. "Overworked" is a more likely explanation if the writing is genuinely bad. Calling someone "lazy" is not synonymous with "not writing the way I like".Am I being lazy by not doing so?
Clearly not. Your writing is bad.I felt like I was clear
“Lazy” is a personal attack on the writers, not a valid point of criticism. Which is the point being made.Personal attacks, now?
I do agree that this particular xenomorph is like a hero xenomorph. Its one thing for the things to take out a squad when they have surprise and are in tight spaces and the like. But when its an open room and the thing kills 3 fully armed and aware guards like its nothing, its like come on they aren't invincible. Also this guy has like horror movie serial killer speed. It goes from up on a roof to down the hall next to BK in an eye blink. One xenomorph taking out the poorly armed, poorly informed crew of the Nostromo was one thing, but one xenomorph taking out scores of heavily armed soldiers undermines Aliens. For me, that is a big problem, especially since Aliens is my favourite.
The irony! They're your words.Personal attacks, now?
No. Not the same. I was very specific to give examples of what I see as lazy writing, or writing that overly relies on plot convenience, or whatever you want to call it. Lazy writing is a commonly used term of criticism. It’s a bit of a catch-all term, which is why I explained the context.“Lazy” is a personal attack on the writers, not a valid point of criticism. Which is the point being made.
