This is encouraging to me. I have a BA in Creative Writing, but somehow it never occurred to me to try and submit anything for publication to Dungeon and Dragon until just now. It'd look great on a resume...
Anybody have any advice? (Might start a separate thread for this...)

There is no way WotC is going to be able to reply to each and every submission. That is just not realistic.
As for what to submit? Pitch ideas you think are cool and don't worry about what you think will get published. If you keep worrying about what you think will get accepted, you might never make the mark. You're forcing yourself to conform to standards you don't even know exist.
