Is there any alternative uses for the healing/medicine skill? I was thinking of like, acupuncture, or such.

You could open up a day spa in Waterdeep. You know, you could do Mani/Petis, Reiki sessions, get in touch with your Inner Halfling meditiation groups, Tiefling Hot Yoga. You'd make a mint.

No, none of that crazy stuff, the FDA/MFRA/CFIA (or Realms equivalent) will only pay for spells, potions & rituals proven safe & effective for the condition they are intended to treat. None of this whacko alternative medicine like bandages or willow bark or /surgery/ (what are you people thinking? the Gods gave us Clerics for a reason!). Conventional, proven treatments, consisting of armored persons of faith mumbling and gesturing over you, are always preferred.

This is why we can't shout our hit points back!

Not very many, only a licensed & qualified PDK can perform talk-based hypothetical-wound therapy like that, and they may not be available in all areas. If you're not in Cormyr, check with you local providers for details & restrictions.

Thanks you for choosing 5e.
