Alternatives to Newegg?

I really need to get a new video card, but don't want to buy it from Newegg.com (Because that's where I got my old one from, and they apparently aren't going to replace it or refund me - it's now been a month and nothing from them). Any other places that have low prices?

That seems very unusual for newegg. Usually they are the pinnacle of customer service.

Try Pricewatch.com or Froogle.google.com for good prices, at least.

I used to use Pricewatch.com a lot, not sure how everything runs now, but before they were top-shelf on finding the cheapest deals. Not necessarily the highest quality, but the cheapest prices. Sometimes you can find specific products that are well-discounted somewhere, and that's what made it worth it to me.

I'll second TogaMario, Pricewatch is a price comparison site. Once you find something you want, you know nothing about the vendor you are referred to. That said, I have used them several times in the past, with no incident.

I'd definitely get everything settled with newegg before you buy another card.

Well, I've been trying to get it settled with newegg for a month. Sending them the card was easy enough (still under warranty). But once there, it's like it vanished in a black hole. First they were goign to replace it, then they didn't have any more, so I would get a refund. But that has never materialized in about 3 weeks. They don't seem to answer email, either, so I've pretty much given up on it.

Definitely lost me as a customer, anyway. Looks like I'll be trying ZipZoomfly - they have the card I want for about the same price.

Yeah, I would check with NewEgg again and just make sure signals didn't get crossed somewhere. They were awesome when I needed to exchange some RAM due to some faulty RAM I received. Absolutely no issues.

I usually hear very mixed things about TigerDirect, so I avoid them for the most part. I have heard decent things about mwave.com, but I have not used them.

I have had good luck with TigerDirect, but I know many who have gone bald as a result of their customer service.

Can't speak for mWave. Two other possibilities for price comparison are shopping.com and shopzilla.com

Have you tried amazon.com?

Another website that I have found some good deals at now and again is provantage.com

Good luck sir! :)

Ditto. I was scared away from tigerdirect by friends with horror stories.

I'm not a fan of newegg either. THeir shipping timeline isa bit of a lie (considering they can take up to 3 or 4 days to ship an item no matter what you pick for shipping. Say I pick and pay for overnight, it might not get there for 5 days.

Tiger direct though is worst, I've heard nothing but horror stories and the one thing i bought from them a while back had a defect.

For video cards, I've found that monarch computers (.com) usually comes up with some pretty low prices on pricewatch. I've bought my last 2 video cards from them and have been pleased.
