Am I seeing things?

When I turn the PHB upside down, I think I can see fairly clear reflections of a person (the photographer?) in many of the jewels on the front and back covers. Am I seeing things?

IIRC, someone at WotC actually designed physical books that look like the PH, DMG, & MM; they then took pictures of those books, and made the pictures the covers of the printed books.

That was for 3.5e; I imagine it may also be true of 3.5e. So what you're seeing might be a reflection of someone caught in the photograph...

But they must have pieced the cover together from several pictures. If you look at each gem, not just the angle changes. Where he's holding the camera changes too.
