Amazon: Last War (Eberron) and Complete Champion

I got a little excited by the two suggested Planes Of books, actually...

edit: and for the record, Drow of the Underdark was one of my favorite 2E supplements.

I like a little drow-on-drow action in my games.

But seriously...
"War of the Gelatinous Cubes," the next big hardbound product. An adventure AND general supplement.

Expedition to the Demonweb Pits doesn't really seem to me to be a Drow adventure in any case; more a Outer Planes adventure. What did Wolfgang Baur say about it?

"...unlike Ravenloft, the goal was not to remake Q1. It's a plane-hopping adventure in the Abyss, though, and that's not a bad thing... It covers levels 9 to 12, and has a metric ton of tactical maps, combat breakouts, more than a dozen new monsters. It is filled with creepy evil goodness. :)" - see here
Yeah, but the odds that there are drow in it is close enough to 100 percent to not be worth measuring.

Oh please tell me next year is not the Year of the Drow at WotC. We already had a Year of the Drow in 3.0 and that lasted nearly 3 years! Gimme a year of Giants anytime.

How about a year of the githyanki? Or did we already have one?

Hell, I know people would love a Year of the Fiends!

I vote for "Year of the Celestials." Celestial Codex volumes I and II, Celestial Magic, Celestials of Faerun, and Races of Heaven.

"Year of the goblins" would also be nice. Gobbonomicon, Goblin Magic, Goblins of Faerun, and Races of Violence.

How about 'Year of the Modrons'. Axiomatic Codex, Modron Magic, Modrons of Faerun, Daanvi the Perfect Order, Races of Law

"Year of the Slaadi." Slaadinomicon, Chayos Magikkck, Anarchic Codex, Races of Anarchy, The Anti-DMG, and The Influence of the Dada Movement on the Work of John Cage. The last one is actually a 125 page adventure written using random parts of over 20 previous adventures. It doesn't play as well as it sounds.

I don't think I'm giving anything away, or violating NDA, to say that Complete Champion has nothing whatsoever to do with 4E, and that I'm currently working on books due out after Complete Champion that also have nothing to do with 4E. :)

The only way you could possibly know that for sure... is if you already know everything about 4E!!! Ha-hah, I've caught you now!

PS: Regarding another Tome of Magic type book: yes, please!

*would prefer a Year of Orcus followed by a Year of Scarred Lands* Okay maybe that last one is a little out line but come on...a Year of Orcus?! What's not to love?

It's the second drow-related WotC product within the first 6 months, the first being Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. That's actually more drow-related books than we had dragon-related books in the first 6 months of this year. You know, the Year of the Dragon? Sorry to say, but you're a bit biased, Ari. What with being one of the authors and all.

Is anyone who thinks you and others are overreacting biased, or just Ari?

Skewing the facts to make two books seem like an inundation, and then going on to make 4e predicitions out of all of this...definitely much ado about nada.
