Amazon takes over Bond franchise

I’ve read them. If you look at everything that was offensive in the early movies, and dial it up to eleven, you are almost there.

I think a historical setting is a good idea, given the current instability, but it would need to be a revisionist take.
Fair enough: given Bezos and the current cultural moment in tge US, a regressive take wouldn't be out of the question.

All of Bond is nonsense. Why would that be any different?
I guess I could imagine a Bridgeton-esque Bond which completely revised history to basically eliminate -isms and diversify everything (not a criticism, to be clear, it's always an option to revise history in different directions so long as it's conscious and honest), you'd need to return good old Roger Moore-era supervillains I think as the badguys, your Max Zorins and Scaramangas, rather than the faux-realism of the Craig era (admittedly entirely abandoned for the insane No Time To Die), but I could see that working, especially if you went hard into a swinging '60s/'70s aesthetic for the world in general. There are a couple of Moore movies which aren't even a million miles from that aesthetic (A View To A Kill and Moon Raker particularly).

I don't think you'd get the free "Boomer Dad" audience Bond currently gets that way, but I guess you might get a whole new one.

Also imagine all the free press from the Mail etc. screaming "BOND GONE WOKE", good lord.
