Amazon takes over Bond franchise

You’re doing a lot of that. Do you know Barbara Broccoli? Because you seem to be handing down her innermost thoughts and feelings like they’re the 10 Commandments. Let’s not just make stuff up, eh?
I’m assuming that when people make a decision they have a good reason for doing so. Are you suggesting that it not a valid assumption?

Over the last two decades I've found the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise to be vastly superior to any of the Bond outings. Not saying that they were BAD but I've enjoyed GHOST PROTOCOL, ROGUE NATION, FALLOUT (especially FALLOUT) and DEAD RECKONING way more than any of the recent Bond films.

That being said...Maybe now Spielberg will get a chance to FINALLY direct a Bond movie. The Broccoli's rejection of him directing a Bond movie is what led to him and Lucas creating Indiana Jones and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.

Hell, Maybe Christopher Nolan will also finally get to direct a Bond movie as well!

That's the only excitement that I can draw from this announcement.

I just wish people would keep the numbers and not just drop it for something else. I cannot track which one I need to watch next after MI-III and not sure if it is Ghost or Rogue, or Fallout. I also cannot tell by just looking if Tom Cruise appears older.

You are not doing that. You are pretending you know her reasons for stepping down. Which you do not.

And then being really condescending to anybody who suggests that your narrative is not absolute fact. Knock it off, please.

See, I don’t enjoy MI at all. I think I watched the first two, but I haven’t made it all the way through any of the others. They’re just bland action without style or character to me.

Luckily both can exist. Let’s hope they don’t become the same now.

Dead Reckoning kinda lost me a little, I don't particularly like their take on "evil AI". But I'll wait to see the rest of it in Final Reckoning before fully making up my mind.

But yeah, Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation and Fallout are all excellent.

It is funny you say that, because the MI movies only really start getting good around the 4th one. It is one of those rare examples of a franchise getting better as it goes on.

So, what do you think happened? Amazon kidnap her dog and hold it to ransom unless she signed over the rights?
