Ampersand: Domains and Divine Power

I wonder how removing Dieties and replacing them with domains-only would work for a Dark Sun setting... associate various domains with elements as your elemental-cleric-light (creation - water, civilization - earth, justice - air, or whatever) maybe put some elemental channel divinity feats in there?

I know I'd prefer to have some true elemental classes, but absent a sourcebook I wonder if this would work out as a temporary fix?

Are you being fac-eee-tious? I see no clues... (oh wait! Is it Eberron? I bet it is!)
I said "look for clues" before I read the article. I just remember that last month's Ampersand article said that hints would be sprinkled through the next few months' Ampersand articles, so I assumed there would be a hidden truth in here somewhere.

ALthough, the comment from James Wyatt about the Plane book might be a hint. Maybe it's Planescape (although I doubt it).

The only things I could see being hints are:
  • The talk about a plane that is pushing the envelope and could become a key component in nearly any D&D campaign.
  • The mini-bio of Bill Slavicsek mentioning he worked on Planescape, Ravenloft and Dark Sun.
Not a clue but I like the comment about Eberron and the chapter that introduces the themes of the campaign and how to introduce them to your own campaign. Come on lots of good stuff for Noir.

I don't think there are any clues about the 3rd setting in there. My guess is they're talking about a Feywild book! *crosses fingers*

While maybe not in terms of content and what you would expect fluff wise. I could see the Far Realms pushing the envelopes in a mechanical sense, if they really went crazy with well... the craziness of the Far Realm.
