An open "Thank you" to Erik Mona

I didn't know where to best post this and I figured it wasn't worth a new thread, so pardon the hijack.

It does relate to Dungeon, though. :uhoh:
[sblock]When's Wil's last column?

What happened to Critical Threat?[/sblock]
And, of course, thank you to Erik and all the people on the Dungeon and Dragon staffs. Your work is not only excellent, but also stays fresh and seems to get better all the time.

Erik,

Let’s just get this out of the way: Thank you.

Word. I don't play 3E, but I still buy Dungeon because it's such a great magazine. I'm a 2E guy who grew up in the 90s. I used to avoid Dungeon because I didn't like the adventures, but I always looked forward to the Dragon issues that focused on DMing tips. Now I have a magazine that is always chock full of great DMing resources and really imaginative modules (not to mention the cool art and overall presentation). After a long sabbatical from D&D I feel like I have some perspective when I say this--Dungeon magazine fills a huge need in the D&D world, and it truly elevates my game month after month. I'll miss Wil Save, but even without that column Dungeon is still a PERFECT D&D magazine.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

I've been an Erik fan since your days helping build LG in the RPGA. I was very pleased Piazo put you at the helm of their mags. And I haven't been one bit dissapointed. The mags, Dungeon especially, are as good as they've ever been (well, I might agree with Diaglo on that point, actually, but neither mag can be what they were 20 years ago and survive in today's market).

Losing Wil's column is disappointing, but he's still got his blog, and it's loss doesn't hurt Dungeon in any significant way, really. Reminds me of when KoDT left Dragon. Kinda sucked, but there were other places to read the lost content.

Kudos, Erik! Looking forward to Age of Worms! Keep up the great work!

Another voice to add to the chorus. Thank you to Erik and all his team for doing an excellent job.

I'm not a subscriber, but I make a point of getting both magazines every month from my FLGS, and Dungeon (especially) is one of the things I look forward to each month.

Oh, and the new Adventure Path looks even better than the previous one, which is something of a shock - my group and I have had a great time with the Shackled City over the last year or so.

Erik,

I love Dungeon & Dragon of late. You have been doing a fantastic job of assembling a bright and engaging and useful collection of material for my games every month.

I buy both mags religiously from my local FLGS (I should probably get a subscription, come to think of it) but you should know that I consistently seek out and choose to buy both mags from off the shelves just to see what interesting goodies you have brought to us every month. And I feel consistently rewarded with the material in the mags every time.

Great job!

Now, let's all copy/paste our stuff and post it on the Paizo site! I think Erik has done a great job with the magazines and customer service has never been better.

Shine on, you crazy diamond!

Oh yes, let's do. Nothing like hanging "flamebait" like this out to the negativity-wolves. ;)
