In 1974 OD&D, Gary Gygax suggests a balrog PC. I guess that's not D&D either.Sunderstone said:And some still insist that this is still D&D. lol.

Sunderstone said:There can be and there is. Check any MM, you can use just about anything there. They arent "Core" but you can use it. Making them more "Core" and commonplace is munchkin farming your target audience.
Derren said:You still haven't explained why 4E dragonborn are munchkin material. As far as you know they could be one of the weaker PC races.
You may be right but its doubtful. Reptilian races tend to be on the strong side (at least physically).Derren said:As far as you know they could be one of the weaker PC races.
I agree with this point to an extent. BUT, Ebberon isnt Core and has its own "flavor". If they use Dragonborn/Tieflings as commonplace in a specific setting book, Im ok with it. Making them core is what I dont agree with. Core will make them overused, and we'll see them alot more in most upcoming 'Core" products.Derren said:And there is no problem with non human looking races being commonplace in human cities. it all depends on the culture. Take Eberron for example. if given a choice people would rather hang out with orcs etc. than with elves.
What does a desire to look cool have to do with munchkinism?Sunderstone said:Munchkinism personified.

Im not trolling, Im expressing an opinion. Last I checked it was a forum. If you dont want any Anti-4E comments made, put a sticky at the top of this forum stating clearly "No Anti-4E comments permitted". That would keep things clear.Baby Samurai said:Sunderstone is obviously trolling, so why not just let sleeping "I have a crippling inferiority complex but it manifests as a revolting superiority complex" people lie.
This is a really good point, and the first example I've seen of where the draconic races came up as something people were interested in (or, to be more precise, hated the second least).ThirdWizard said:Interestingly, in this poll, Dragon-race comes up as the 2nd most not most hated!
