Animate Object and Shrink Item

Hey there.

I have a large covered wagon that I've cast Shrink Item on and keep in my pocket.

I plan to cast Animated Object on this wagon to use in place of a steed. Will it work under the effect of Shrink item and will Shrink Item work on the newly animated object?

If it does work, I plan to do the same thing again and animate a Ballista, shrink it and keep it in my pocket.

Will this work?

Shrink Item targets an object, and once you've cast Animate Object, you no longer have an object, but a creature (a construct), so you can't cast Shrink Item if you've already cast Animate Object.

Animate Object works on nonmagical material, so you can't cast Animate Object if you've already cast Shrink Item (since the object is magical due to the Shrink Item).
