Anime d20 and d20 Mecha by Guardians Of Order

Not sure if the last question covered this as well, but are there any plans to give us anything d20 on previously released anime RPG products, such as Sailor Moon or Tenchi Muyo?

Sorry, but no. The only plans for a licensed anime d20 property at this time is Slayers.

Are there any plans for a Berserk Ultimate Fan Guide in Tri-Stat? Little off topic, but since you've mentioned that those won't be going d20, figured I might as well ask.

We do not currrently have the license for Berserk, no. Sorry.

Hello there!

On the compatibility of BESM d20 with other d20 products, I have a more precise question: are you going to mix skill or just renaming them?

i.e. you could potentially create a stealth skill that include move silently and hide in shadows, so its opposed skill would be both spot and listen if you use a character from a different system as an opponent.

I don't have SAS, but thing like that might make the system completly incompatible with other d20 sytem product. There might be a few skills in it that made people angry.

Also who are the authors? Are they anime/mecha expert, d20 expert (not necessarily in number of product, but in quality), both?

DP9 plans to release a mecha compendium, are you working with them to great length, or is it just allowing them to see the draft copy of d20 mecha?

Is d20 Mecha playtested at Pyramid/d20weekly? do you hire french playtester?(like me:D)

I think this is all, unless you want more questions?

Hmm. Why do I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of products with titles being prefixed "d20 _____"?

First it was d20 Modern from Wizards. Now d20 Mecha from GOO. I think it's already a given that D&D is an alias for d20 Fantasy. I wonder who will be the first to publish a d20 Future rulebook?

Didn't WotC attempt to trademark "d20" so only they could use it in book titles at one time? I remember reading about it...but didn't really pay much attention otherwise...

I think they did trademarked it with the (tm) symbol. It's now a matter of getting the trademark (along with the description and use of the trademark property) registered at the US Patent and Trademark Office to get a (r) symbol.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Back on-topic, I am looking forward to d20 Mecha. If it's good enough, then maybe you can impress whoever holds the IP for Robotech (Harmony Gold or Big West) can grant GOO the RPG license.

About Robotech license

I know Palladium Books use to own the license to Robotech, but dropped it last year which means it should be up for grabs. I would also like to see Robotech out for the D20 system just like I would for Rifts but not bloody likely. I have most of the original books for Robotech and would buy a revamped version for D20 since that is the only Anime I'm into and will ever be into.

The problem with the Macross/Robotech license (at least as of the last time I looked into it) is that there is currently a court battle regarding licensing rights which has put a hold on a lot of new licensing (except for some very big boys which rpg publishers are not...).

I have heard of no resolution to the difficulties so I do not anticipate seeing a Macross/Robotech rpg from anyone any time soon. Sorry (especially considering I would completely geek out over the possibility of working on such a project...).
