Another I've been officially kicked out of my group thread..

My friend was the DM and kicked me out his Kalamar group. He claims that I said I prefer RPGA games to his game and that he doesn't want to cause problems with me and my non-gamer wife, which is none of his business.

Not like I was a disruptive player, a sociopath, non bather or anything..

In reality he's pissed at me for waking him up at a con when he was snoring. I'm a really light sleeper and didnt get any sleep that night. Then he didnt pay me for his share of the hotel room. He claimed he was broke. He also agreed to run an RPGA module for me and backed out at the last minute cause he said he wanted to concentrate on getting a girlfriend and had a date that day, which didnt make sense as well cause he could have taken her to dinner and a movie at night and still had time to run the module.

I said I was sorry for whatever went wrong but he still didnt want me in the game. Oh well, I don't have time for his immaturity. I haven't known him long (just about a year) and it shows...

It's possible that he was at fault, that you were at fault, or that you both were at fault. Hearing only your side of the story doesn't lead to any conclusion. However, I tend to side against people who whine about these things on a message board. No offense.

Consider it a learning experience - don't ever rely on flakes, or people with flaky tendencies. (rant: And wtf were you thinking - knowing the guy for only a year and staying at a hotel without getting the CASH UP FRONT. Ever hear about something called "appropriate planning"? /rant)

I don't know what compels people to participate in groups where there's nothing even remotely resembling a sense of comraderie. People treating other people like crap, defective personalities colliding left and right.

About two months ago, one guy got so furious over a call I made as a DM that he told me that my ruling was bull%$#@, told me to get out, and tried to convince everyone else not to give me a ride home. Now he's calling me up to come game like business as usual (which I politely decline) and asking people why I'd just as soon stay home and play games online. Bizarre.

That doesn't make sense? What doesn't make sense to me is why he had a date when he was at a con... wasn't he there to game? Enless of course he met someone in a game... huum... [starts applying hair gel for dundracon ]

In all honesty, the guy seems like an ass... even than I wouldn't listen to who ever criticized you for not getting the money up front, being a trusting guy myself I wouldn't demand up front money from people I had known for a year...

I'm so glad I game with friends.

Unlike some others I find nothing wrong with wanting to rant here about getting kicked out of a game, just don't expect 100% approval of your story, somebody will always find a way to make it seem you were the bad guy.

Yeah, I'm glad I game with friends, too. Unfortunately, some of those friends are moving away and my group is shrinking - I need to find a new player. Thus, my question about where in MD qstor lives - he needs a new group, I need a new player - might be a perfect match!
