OK, am I right that Xun Ho finishes the round 30' from Incisor? As she and he are the only remaining combatants I'm giving him a Listen check to hear her, DC 10+1/10' distance, I roll 6+10=16 so he'd hear her up to 60' away. However Incisor is now within the Wall of Force hemisphere.

Actually, after both moves, she was 15 ft. from Incisor. No matter, really, since there would be nothing he could do about it. She was 40 ft. behind him, then he moves 55 ft. away from her toward Lu Bu, and then Xun Huo moves 80 ft. toward him.

Incisor digs as a full round action then flicks a fireball globe(as a partial action) out the opening at the fallen Lu Bu. (Damage 3d6, I presume its an automatic failure)

Okay, I see now it says "Spell Resistance: No", whereas Blade Barrier says "Spell Resistance: Yes". Okay then... big change from 1e/2e magic resistance!

Unless anyone can point me to some digging rules I'm thinking it'll take Incisor 5 (hasted) rounds to clear a hole big enough to pass through, or 10 unhasted - 60 seconds seems about right, given he has to use his hands.

I dunno about this . . . Even with 34 Strength, I would think it would be difficult for someone to dig a (roughly 2-3 ft. wide hole through solid earth in a minute (unhasted) or 30 seconds (hasted).

My guess would be three minutes, two hasted, although it's purely a guess. I've never dealt with a non-burrowing creature trying to dig before.

Also, let's not forget that he activated his boots the same round we drank our potions, and whe reactivated his boots immediately after he was slowed, so he's been hasted the same number of round we have, and has only 5 rounds left now. (He goes before Xun Huo in the round, and last round was the 4th, so this round is the fifth.) This is Xun Huo's last round hasted, and Incisor has 5 rounds left total.

Xun Huo

Standard Action: RUN 160 ft. toward Gregory (currently 310 ft. away, putting her 150 ft. away)

Partial Action: Move 40 ft. toward Gregory (putting me 110 ft. from him.

Okay, well as soon as Incisor flicks the globe at Lu Bu he gets busy digging.

You may as well post your four next round actions Anubis (though I reserve the right to interupt if you do anything of note.

GM: OK, Craig IM'd me to find out how long it would take Incisor to dig a hole big enough to flick a missile through (1 full round action) and how long to make a hole big enough to squeeze through (10 rounds unhasted, 5 hasted, given his STR 30+ and DEX 40+).

Missile damage on Lu Bu is 16, killing him.

If Incisor starts digging again, it will take I believe his last 4 hasted rounds, plus 1 unhasted, to get free. Anubis, rem all he has to do is dig a hole big enough to squeeze under the wall, about 1' deep by 2'x2' wide, possibly less than 2' wide since with his STR he can push through knocking earth out of the way.

I think for a normal human it would take around 20-30 minutes, for human with STR & DEX 18, around 5 minutes. STR 34 at human size means the earth provides almost no resistance to his digging, it'd be like digging through thick sponge cake IMO.

Xun Huo (Round 5, last hasted turn)

Partial Action: Cast Bull's Strength on myself

Standard Action: Run toward Incisor, putting me over Lu Bu

Xun Huo (Round 6, no longer hasted; Incisor will be done digging the hole after his turn in Round 10, and will likely need one more round to climb through in Round 11, plus a Move-Equivilant to get to his feet in Round 12, in case the battle lasts that long)

Pick up Lu Bu's halberd (I'm certain Incisor is too busy digging to notice any of this, as he's paying attention to his digging, and my picking up the weapon likely makes no real noise, not to mention the Wall of Force is still a big factor)

Xun Huo (Round 7)

Drink Potion of Heroism, giving me an extra +2 to hit, save, and skill checks . . . Drinking a potion has no sound, so Incisor is still unaware of my actions.

Just so everyone knows, she now has a total of +4 to attack, not counting whatever Bull's Strength adds to it; +2 from Recitation, which is still going, and +2 from the Potion of Heroism

Xun Huo (Round 8)

5-ft. step tp the edge of the Wall of Force, where Incisor is digging his hole (he was 15 ft. from Lu Bu before, and the Wall of Force had a radius of 10 ft. so the Wall of Force is 5 ft. from Lu Bu) and FULL ATTACK HIM THROUGH THE HOLE

Basically, he dug a hole through the ground under the Wall of Force big enough to flick one of them globes through, but the hole will be AT LEAST as big as Incisors hand, which would be at least 8-12 inches due to the size of the hand of someone with 34 Strength (ya' know, the same thing that'll allow him to dig out in four more rounds) . . . On top of that, the holes a bit bigger now that he's had three rounds to dig, giving me plenty of room . . .

Since he is actively digging in the hole, especially having only two rounds to go, that gives me a clear shot at him. Moreover, because he's entrenched in this hole he's digging, he'd get no Dexterity bonus to AC (he has no place to move in this hole, no maneuverability whatsoever) . . . Basically, he's effectively flat-footed (effectively, not actually), meaning only his armor and natural armor count toward AC right now . . . In addition, he is ALSO effectively prone, giving me an addition +4 to hit . . . Let's not forget that Xun Huo is on higher ground (Standing on the ground as opposed to lying digging in the hole), giving her an additional +1 to hit . . . Last but not least, she's invisible, giving her an extra +2 to hit . . . Just to add it up:

+5 BAB
+1 Enhancement Bonus
+2 from Recitation
+2 from Potion of Heroism
+4 from Prone Defender
+1 from Higher Ground
+2 from Invisibility
+X from Bull's Strength
-4 from No Proficiency (Halberd)

+13+X to hit AC 15 on first attack, +8+X to hit AC 15 on second attack

1d10+1+X damage per hit from halberd

I'll stop here for the moment.

GM: Bull's Strength increases Xun Ho's STR by 4 points. However Incisor is looking in the direction of Lu Bu, since that's where he started digging the hole, and thus sees the halberd being picked up - it's about 6' long and of course it _stays visible_. Incisor therefore gets an action at this point.

Okay my turn.

Obviously I knew there was still someone out there invisible.

I never had any intention of exiting via the trough while there was an opponent out there - far too obvious an ambush - which was exactly how I planned it. :D

Since there is now a trough I assume I could just throw the globes down (I don't need to stick any part of my anatomy out) and they will explode half on each side of the wall of force hemisphere.

Thats 10ft. radius per side. Thus catching whoever grabbed Lu Bu's Halberd.

Damage 5d6 and 3d6.

Incisor takes a 5ft. step back. Watching what the Halberd does.

No hurry to exit the trough. The spell won't last very long. :p

I'll just wait it out - unless the flying halberd does something...?
