Anubis vs. Upper_Krust (Referee: S'mon)

Hey, I've decided to go ahead and drop my challenge of the SR. I wanna get this show on the road anyway, and I got some ideas.

Since you're waiting out the Wall of Force, I'll post actions up until something happens that you said you were watching out for.

Xun Huo (Round 12)

Run 160 ft. toward Gregory. (Incisor has no way to know this because she's still invisible, so he is assumed to continue waiting out the Wall of Force.)

Xun Huo (Round 13)

Run the rest of the way to Gregory. (Incisor still sees nothing happening.)

Xun Huo (Round 14)

After whispering to Gregory "I'll help you, friend.", cast Polymorph Other on him and turn him into a Troll. Trolls are Giants, and thus Gregory keeps all of his equipment as normal. In addition, he now has 23 Strength! (That 8 after the poison, just to let you know.) He also heals 11 hit points, as per a day of rest.

Of course, it has been over a minute since he was hit by the poison. According to the die roller, the save was failed and Gregory takes 7 points of Strength damage, putting him at 1 but not incapacitating him.

Your turn, UK, we're at the top of Round 15 now. Remember that reactivating your Boots of Speed is a standard action, meaning you could only get 0.5 rounds of digging done right now if that's what you choose to do.

Your move.

Hi Anubis mate! :)

Anubis said:
This is from page 82 of the DMG:

"A creature's spell resistance never interferes with its own spells, items, or abilities."

This suggests that a creature's SR does not apply to its own spells, whether the effect is positive or negative.

To be honest, I've never had to deal with this situation before in ANY game.

It suggests nothing of the kind.

Thats because you don't have a case and you know it! :D

Gregory (Round 15)

Cast Heal on myself, restoring me to full hit points AND FULL STRENGTH, erasing the effects of the poison! With that, move 20 ft. toward Incisor, putting him 275 ft. away.

Xun Huo (Round 15)

Run 160 ft. toward Incisor, putting her 135 ft. away.

Your move.

Personally, I'd say that "interference" implies a negative interaction, as in, your SR hinders your spellcasting. (Which is obviously not the case)

Just a 1st level commoner awed at the fight of the titans. ;)

Okay.

Do I not get a spot check to see this sprinting Wizard, who is almost certainly going to be moving in a straight line between the Troll and the Wall of Force. Surely there must be a tiny dust cloud/muck thrown up behind the figure as they run.

Regardless, Incisor does nothing as yet.

Your move.

Gregory (Round 16)

Activate Divine Vigor, which gives me 10 ft. of extra movement pretty much for the rest of the battle. (It'll last a number of minutes equal to my Charisma modifier.) Move 30 ft. toward Incisor, putting me 245 feet away.

Xun Huo (Round 16)

Run the rest of the way toward Incisor, putting her by the Wall of Force.

Now it's the top of the 17th. Your move.
