Side note...
Nowadays, ogres aren't really that much to write home about - as far as monsters go, they're not significantly more interesting than their 3rd edition counterparts, and they're only heroic-tier monsters which can easily be locked down by good controllery tactics. Also, to me and my 3.5 players, items that simply gave a stat bonus with no frills weren't all that special. YMMV
Higher-level items in 4e typically sound even more awesome than ogre power. You'll be wearing a Helm of Raving, Shrieking, Trouserwetting Terror as you beat people down with your Gutsplattering Craghammer. Your cleric will be bathing you in light (or whatever else his deity likes to bathe people in) that is generated by his Blindingly Shiny Armor Made by Freaking Holy Angels. An arrow shot by the Bow that Shoots A Guy in both Eyes Whenever it Misses, and Sometimes More! weaves past you, feathers ticklingyour ear and laughing at you as it passes. The arrow shatters both of your enemy's kneecaps and then loops around to tie your enemy's shoelaces together before it drifts to the ground, an unblemished deadly shaft of pure obsidian that crackles with lightning. You can tell that it quivers with excitement, eagerly awaiting the next time its master fires it again.
