Any Richard Cheese fans out there?

First Post
After seeing Dawn of the Dead the other day, I was curious to find out who that was singing the lounge version of "Get Down with the Sickness". After a little googling, it was pleasantly surprising to find out that Loung Against the Machine has done many covers of different types of songs.

Anyone have any favorites they want to share?

Oh, yes. Let's see.

Baby Got Back is a particular favourite. Chop Suey is okay, mostly entertaining because it's sort of a comedy sketch as well - the same applies to Crazy. I really like his cover of Come Out And Play. Creep is disturbingly jaunty. Fell In Love With A Girl is even faster-paced than the original. Fight For Your Right (To Party) is pretty good, very smooth. I remember Last Resort is too short, and Like A Virgin definitely is. Loser is good, though.

Nearly everything he does is very good, especially if you like the originals. My favourite, though, is Closer, because the background music is the theme from Sesame Street.

The ones where he feels the need to be vulgar beyond anything that was actually in the original song really irritate me - like his Britney Spears one.

OTOH, I think I like his version of "Only Happy When It Rains" better than the one by Garbage! :D

My fave is the cover of the Nine-inch-nails song "closer".

It just sounds so cheery when The Cheese man does it.

"I wanna **** you like an animaaaaal...."

Classic.

So far, here are my faves:

  1. "Wrong Way" Sublime cover
  2. "Down With the Sickness" Disturbed cover
  3. "Rape Me" Nirvana cover ("Here's something for the ladies!")
  4. "Shake Ya Ass!" Mystikal cover
  5. "Baby Got Back" Sir Mixalot cover

After hearing him do the "blue" stuff, the plain old pop tunes such as "Hungry Like the Wolf" and "Like a Virgin" just seemed pointless.

LOL i'll have to listen to the stuff i have when i get home.

awww sh** - get up come on get down with the sickness!
