Any stealthy cleric class for evil race?

Why not simply have an unarmored cleric with trickery domain (hide is covered), maxed cross class move sliently with skill focus (move silently) and boots of elvenkind (or silent armor)?

I don't know how well versed you players are in spot/listen, but usually a ~15 total skill check adjustment in "stealth" is more than enough.

Following up on Bastoche's suggestion, of just maxing MS & Hide skills with Cleric levels, you could take your first level as Rogue (or even Scout, Spellthief, or NINJA!) to get Hide & Move Silent with lots of skill points, then do straight Cleric from that point forward. If you take Able Learner as your Human Bonus Feat and have a reasonable INT, you will have great scores in both skills.

EDIT: Hmm... I missed the original point about "evil, subterrain" races. I *think* there was a Human variant in the Underdark book, essentially a slave race, which might qualify for the Able Learner feat... not sure...

Thanks for suggestions. Now I am leaning toward lightly armored Hobgoblin cleric with Trickery domain. With their +2 Dex and +4 racial bonus to Move silently, straight cleric may have reasonably high Move Silently bonus.
