Any WIS based arcane casters?

Was wondering anyone knows of any arcane class that uses WIS as their primary casting ability? I've searched high and low, with little luck.

Alternatively, anyone know a good template to boost either the INT or WIS of a creature like a Troll, to make it a viable Wizard or Sorcerer?

It's to use for an NPC in my homebrew.

Nope, I figure there isn't much like that out there - to keep the mystic theurge from being too easy, among other things. The Archivist is the closest thing I can think of - Still probably not what you want, though.

The Dark Hunter PrC grants spells like the assassin and uses Wisdom as the casting stat.

Only considering official sources...

Half-Fiend compensates that troll's penalties to mental attributes. Half-Celestial boosts Wis at the expense of Int. Both have a high LA, making it a subpar choice for a spellcaster (buth then again, Troll is a subpar choice for a spellcaster in the first place...).

Half-fey compensates the Wis and Cha penalty for +2 LA. Or consider Wendigo.

Spellwarped compensates Int and grants Spell Resistance. LA +3

Saint compensates Wis and Cha for +2 LA, grants many other goodies, but requiers your Troll to be Exalted... yeah, right.

How about the Arcane spellcasting variant Swordsage? It's very likely to be insane if you don't choose a limited spell list for it, but it's official. Sorta. I think.

Well, there's the Cleric of Mystra (FR)... with the feat that allows you to take domain spells in regular slots, using lots of anyspell and greater anyspell.

Without every slapping a caster class (Sorc?) on your Troll, he is already the "Troll-Mage" equivelent to the Ogre-Mage.

1/2 Fiend and 1/2 Celestial have similiar bonuses.

Complete Witch's Handbook by Green Ronin. The Witch is basically a sorcerer who uses wisdom, gets a few more skill points and bonus wizard style feats but a toned down powerwise spell list focusing on healing, charms, and divinations.

Half-Dragon boosts both Int and Cha by +2, with a +2 Con and +8 Str. As an added bonus, a Troll / Red/Black Half-Dragon would be immune to fire/acid. And being Large would grant it wings.
