Anybody ever thought of Rangers w/o spells?

Mercenaries Anyone

AEG's Mercenaries book has a ranger class (Mercenary Ranger) that allows the player to pick from a set of abilities, only one of which is spellcasting, so in essense one could therefore make a ranger without spell casting abilites.

The book as a whole is awsome and has a few other ranger type* classes that could serve the in any of the typical ranger roles in any campaign.

*Namely the Hunter, the Guerilla, the Nomad, the Mercenary Ranger (duh) and the Scout.

They are all well done and well balanced for play in any game.

I'd buy it if you are questing for the many variations of "ranger types".

Well...


There's one I whipped up... (Actually there's two Ranger classes within the Ranger document at the above URL -- one without spells, and one more akin to a Druid Paladin -- in hopes of covering two of the main bases of what a Ranger could be).

Not that this hasn't been done to death already }
