anyone know of a good prestige class for Paladins?

Heh, don't forget the best prestige class for a paladin.
No, not Hospitaler.
No, not Mithral Knight.

Of course I'm talking about the Blackguard :D

mithril knight is in mithril:city of the golem, published by sword and sorcery studios, the ghelspad hardcover by them also contains some good paladinic prcs, gold knight, iron knight, etc.

Templar is pretty strong... DR... wow....

Our Unicorn Riding Paladin/Templar now cannot lose her virginity anymore with her 2/- DR :) So she is guaranteed never losing her Unicorn on that account.

It honestly depends on how you are playing your paladin and where you want to take him.

There are 2 pdf sourcebooks on paladins - Call of Duty by Chainmail Bikini games and Forgotten Heroes: Paladin. Both contain a number of paladin prestige classes and you should be able to find one that fits the need you want.

your ability with a Holy Avenger increases

When in the hell does that happen with a normal paladin?
And let me just add my 47 cents. Blackguard rocks, if your party will let you, and your DM is lenient on how evil you have to be to retain your abilities, i would highly recommend it.

Where can I get the information for a Mithral Knight? What book is it in?
Well the revised Mithril Knight that is 3.5 conformed won't be out until I believe the 11th of Nov. Some time in Nov I'm reasonable sure.

But I would say, if you are considering Pr-classes for your Paladin, Book of Hallowed Might has one along with Book of Exalted Deeds. I still say the SL paladins are just as good as the ones presented here. Silver Knight, still the best at fighting evil outsiders/outsider/ and elementals. Gold Knights, next to clerics, about the best damn healers around. Iron Knights, hey you need that +1 weapon/armor really bad? Talk to him? Mithril Knight, the paladin's paladin. Trust me. Even with the revised version, it will be kick ass. :)

That help any?

umm.. what does THAT mean?
Is there a push to power-down Paladin PrC's?!
Paladins are one of the only classes that does not have a increased-power-PrC, and the Mithral Knight barely suffices for what my idea of a high level Paladin is.

Please don't tell me that you felt the need to power it down, especially when IIRC the only benefit it gets is Leadership and the crafted weapon, now that the extra Smites aren't as needed.
