D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

Well, the thing is, if you run the numbers it is profoundly easy to get the first two augments (with things as written) and characters who really focus can get a third about 60% of the time. I dunno. Just seems off to me.

I really like those other two feats you've suggested though.

I figured if you really focus on something it should be quite reliable. Let the amateurs worry about bad pacts and limited augmentations, if you've sunk several feats into something you should do it well IMO.

I'll add those feats to the wiki, and took the liberty of making a third feat. We need Vestige feats that rely on a variety of statistics to keep them accessable to everyone.

So currently we're doing this all with feats and rituals

what about a binder class?

Class Features: Bind Vestige

We started with a binder class and ditched it in favour of the rituals. I don't really know how well it would fit with the current system of rituals. You could try and merge the current vestige stats into my orgional class idea, where you have up to three Vestiges that grant you your alotment of powers.

A Binder Paragon Path was also suggested at one point and I think we're keeping the idea, as long as we can make it non-situational.

The other idea for Paragon Paths (I think it was mine) was to perminently bind specific vestiges, although then there wouldn't be much difference between them and normal paths.

But then what's the mechanical difference between a Binder who's just a Binder and a player who's decided to focus all his attention toward the Binding ritual?

Should the cost in GP be reduced/removed from the ritual?
