Anyone remember "The Lone Gunmen"?

Feh. I didn't want them to die. Somehow Chris Carter believed this is the only way to wrap their story up as The X-Files is already coming to an end, which BTW, begs a continuance in the big screen. For those who have watched the series finale, you know what I mean.

Incidentally, they're starting the show tomorrow on one of the Finnish channels. While I was never a fan of X-Files, I'm looking forward to it.

It has already aired on SubTV once. This is a rerun. :)

Yeah, I thought it was a good show. My favorite episode was the one with the super-intelligent chimp, "Peanuts," AKA "Admiral Peanuts," AKA "Simon Whitethatch Potentloins." :)

I do remember thinking, shortly after 9-11, that they'll probably never show the pilot episode on US TV ever again, especially when the plotline involved a forced airliner crash into the Twin Towers for devious reasons. Ended up being rather prophetic, didn't it? Of course, the bad guys in this case weren't terrorists, merely military contractors (if I remember correctly), but it was a rather eerie foreshadowing of real-life events in any case.

Yeah - I recall that well. I think the actual plot was that the Evil Government Conspiracy was behind it, making it even less likely ever to light up network phosphors again (wait - maybe it's a conspiracy!).
The fact that I didn't see a single note about that episode after the Big 911 made it pretty clear how few people had actually watched the show. :)
I wasn't so impressed by it really though.
