Anyone using Occult Lore?

Just wondering if anyone has incorporated any of the alternate magic systems from Occult Lore into their campaigns and if so, how it's going. I'm thinking of purchasing it, but wanted some opinions first.

Currently I'm only USING the Geomancy and Sympathetic Magic rules, but that's because I'm in a fairly... alternative... magic world. But next campaign I intend to use a number of them

In my latest homebrew i am using the Elementalist, Sympathetic Mage, and the Gleaner. I am also using the Astrology, herbalism, and dowsing rules. I use them almost exclusively in the setting (no wizard or sorcerer) and its been very cool. Its created a very nice flavor and helped the setting background quite a bit!

I've already had an NPC using the astrological item to stop scrying attempts.

I'll probably be using astrology, elementalism, and dream magic from the book. Geomancy in Occult Lore is but a pale shadow of the equivalent in my game.

Yep. Everything but the Rational Magic chapter will be finding it's way into my campaign.

Rarely has a book held such useful potential. Usually I keep 10 to 20% and leave 80%, but in this case it was the exact opposite.

So how many people have actually used stuff from Occult Lore as PC's? That 's really the only way to figure out all the errors and inconsistencies.

One of my fellow players is currently looking through the Alchemy and Herbalism sections, and is somewhat dismayed at the seemingly random craft DC's and prices of various concoctions. Things like a "Gentle Repose" herbal preparation being only DC 19 and 220 gp and lasting forever (compared to a scroll: 300 gp, takes a feat to create and only lasts 3 days), whereas willow tea has a craft DC of 30, costs 45 gp, and all it does is remove 4hp subdual and fevers.

I've had the same disconnect with the Alchemy&Herbalists book: I hear a lot of DM's raving over it, but when I actually try to use it as a PC, it's just chockfull with inconsistencies and completely out of line with any other alchemy resources.
