Anyone with their prefered Min/Maxing tricks?

Mmmh... okay, thanks for these meaningful advice. So, I should remember about situations, environment, etc. Well, okay, not the easy way around, but thanks.

Here's a nasty combo/tactic I stumbled upon more or less by accident:

Ettercaps (or web-shooting spiders) + Rust monsters.

First, the ettercaps shoot their webs at the heavily armored characters, usually hitting pretty easily with a ranged touch attack. While entangled in the webs, characters are anchored in place, suffer -2 to attack rolls, and a nasty -4 to their dex. Next the rust monsters close and chow on their armor. Webbed characters are much easier to hit while entangled, and much more likely to fail their reflex save as well. If they try to disentangle themselves, they spend a standard action doing so. The ettercaps will continue to shoot webs (8 shots per day) at them, aiming for any targets not yet entangled, finally closing on caught targets that have had their equipment rusted away.

Since all of them are CR3's so you can throw several of them together against a 10th level party. According to the EL-calculator, 11 to 12 CR3's are roughly an EL10 encounter. I'd recommend a mix of about half and half. Be aware that this is very likely to destroy armor, and probably some weapons as well. You can use it as an encounter prior to other encounters to nerf characters armor classes, etc. You'll probably want to reward them afterwards, possibly by placing some replacement gear along the way, or you may wind up with several very angry players.
