Anything on what's in the DMG II?

The idea of a mini campaign world wounds good, though I doubt that will happen

Waht I msot would like to see is material tlaking about all the PHB and MM plus Capaign world stuff relaeased totaht dayte, looking at problem areas and giving advice on meshing them.

Plus I would like to see the DMGs reprint all classes, feats and paths printed in campaign specific books like FR. I won't by FR, but that is no reason to deny me the crunch form those books.

I read this post and thought, Man, that is weird. I talked to James about it and he says he'll make it happen for the first MM after we have robust aquatic rules (DMG2 maybe? No promises!).

Hmmm,
Starting with DMG III, maybe dedicate half the book to a campaign setting, you know one that people would like but that can't get that 3 book treatment?

Ooh, I like this. But go even further:

1/2 the book is new special rules, the other half is a sample campaign setting involving those rules.

DMGII: Dungeons, Horror, Playing as Undead plus Ravenloft
DMGIII: Cities, Economies, & Mass Combat plus an "empires at war" campaign setting.
DMGIV: Environments plus a "world of Elements" campaign (I'm stretching at this point).

Honestly, I think we're going to see a much slower release schedule of DMG's. Probably a DMGIII by the time there's a PHB IV and a MMV.

I dont think it would go that way, wotc can make the books more integrated, like the tibit about a sea drake apering in the monster manual after the dmg had the water combat rules. In this case there are less need to certain suplementary books, stormwrack, frostburn, cityscape, etc, and makes these books atractive to a broader audience, as such as if i want to make an aquatic campaingn the first place to look would be series III of the cores rulebooks.

In the end integrated books are beter for them, they produce less and sell for more people, and for us, who dosnt need to scavenge half a dozen books to find the little bits to base our adventures.

I think at least that at least part of each DMG will be dedicated to "Unearthed Arcana" (the 3.5 version) style options. And this would make me happy. :)

I'm not entirely certain I know what they're going to fill all of DMG I up with. Much less II.
There's a lot of extra space once you take out the prestige classes (paragons and epics are in the PHB) and the magic items (which is now also in the PHB, I think). Weather? Terrain types? DMing basics?

Interesting catch. So there will be additional rules in future DMG:s, maybe with options like The_Pugilist wants.

Okay, that's a good point too. :)
