AoO, Moving, and _haste_

I'm guessing the same as Artoomis, since that's how it is in the just-released d20 Modern rules. Nearly every other spell in d20M is a direct copy from the current D&D rules.

I think it will be:

+2 AC
Double normal speed (as in Expeditious Retreat)
one extra attack (regardless of full-attack being used or not just as a weapon of speed)

I don't really think they would make it so different from D20 Modern. What would be the point, ya' know?

EDIT: By the way, sorry about all that confusion. I mixed up your post and dcollin's reference to Artoomis' post.

Almost. In D20 Modern, you actually have to take a full-attack action to gain the extra attack from the spell.

Yes, and that is what Artoomis said, and what dcollins agreed with.

I however disagree slightly.

I would like to see a series of haste spells.

2nd level: extra move action, no AC
3rd level: extra attack, +2 AC
4th or 5th: extra partial action, +4 AC

In general use, I see haste as being too useful, so a change might be in order. However, I don't house rule the spell in my current game, and it hasn't gotten out of hand yet. I will wait untill there is a problem before I try to fix it.

What is it you're disagreeing with?

That d20 Modern Haste requires the FAA to get an extra attack?

Or that D&D 3e(Revised) Haste will have the same restriction?

You mad thing, you.

So my doctor says.

Really, do other DMs house rule all the "trouble spots" in the rules before they start a game, or do they leave it as is untill there is a problem? I get the impression the former is more true than the latter.

Based on the discussion at hand and that we are in the D&D rules forum not the D20 Modern forum, take a wild guess !

(Though, option two is correct.)

I also believe there is going to be an 'Improved Haste' spell, which would basically the same as the current version, except it would also improve move speed.

Well, the post essentially read :

kreynolds: In d20 modern, you have to take a full attack action.
Aggemam: That's what they said, but I disagree.

... so it wasn't at all clear that you were disagreeing with something else entirely!
