[April] What are you playing

First Post
After Finishing Tomb Raider Legend (good), and Then God of War 2 (really good), not so much. Though my expectation is once I get back into gameplay mode it shall be some Zelda action (either Four Swords or Twilight Princess) or maybe some Ultima V Lazarus.

PC: Company of Heroes skirmishes (fun, even though the AI is pretty stupid), two NWN weekly campaigns, one NWN2 run through the official campaign.

360: Just finished my NBA2k7 and NCAA Football 2007 seasons (go Bears), so I'm starting with MLB2k7. I am considering Guitar Hero 2, it looks like some good silly fun.

With the PSP price drop announced yesterday (down to $170 from $200), I'm thinking of picking it up.

God of War is making its way to the handheld sometime this year, and the new Ratchet game was just released for it, not to mention Vice City Stories. Seems like this might be the right time for the system.

Not quite yet, but very soon I will be installing Morrowind + Expansions and a number of community mods that really enhance game play. When I attempted to play this game 5 years ago I didn't get it.

But now I am intrigued again I understand the games parameters a whole lot better.

I'm playing with Visual C# and [censored] the new Game Developer Simulation. Funny enough - it's amazingly lifelike!

Translation: I'm too busy to play :)

Between work and studying for the LSAT I'm I'll get 1-2 hour stints of Metroid Prime: Echoes. Not exactly a new game, but certainly fun.

Puzzle Quest

I've been doing some research on this one. Looks really great. I may pick up a DS specifically for the game.

I just finished Phantasy Star I (GBA remake), and ended up profoundly disappointed (though the last boss was pretty fun). That ends the NES/SMS era for me - now I'm on to getting through the bunch of SNES/Genesis era games I didn't get a chance to play way back when.

Therefore, I've just started Secret of Mana... and I am ashamed to admit I missed it the first time it came out. This game absolutely, unequivocally, rocks. Hard. On toast.

(Note #1: By going through these 'generations' like I have been, I've discovered that I'm getting to experience the console upgrades all over again! Too cool.
Note #2: I am absolutely shocked - yet extremely happy - that the cart battery backups still work after all these years. Amazing!)

Also:
- Continuing to watch Mrs. Arnwyn play Final Fantasy VI (PS remake) - she's really enjoying it. I now get to see some things I missed when I first went through it...
- Playing Baldur's Gate 2 (Xbox) and Perfect Dark (N64) on co-op with a buddy.

While I haven't played Secret of Mana in quite a while, it is the reason I will never, ever give up my SNES. I hope the new Mana game will be a platformer, and I really hope its good enough to pass the torch to.

As for me... playing a little WarCraft III, a little Mechwarrior IV, some Wizardry 8, a little Homeworld, and still playing FIFA World Cup 2006 (GC). Just one more cup to go, and I'll have won it for every region.
