Arcane Archer -> Divine Archer... need advice

I'm working with one of my players to tweak the Arcane Archer class a bit for his character. He's a ranger with the ranged weapon styles and a variant spell progression that replaces the animal companion. Since he has a more diverse spell selection, we're trying to rework the arcane archer to allow him to use it as a ranger prestige class. Any suggestions on how to change the abilities to make them most useful?

I don't see anything to change on it at all. Now your ranger can shoot "healing arrows"... DM's discretion on how much you want to screw this character over on it. :)

I mean, if he's using CLW with a longbow, you could:
a) house rule that the arrow becomes "magic" and heals normally, maybe even adding the arrows magical plus into the equation;
b) have the ranger use "blunt" arrows that only do 1-3 damage and heal normally.
c) have the arrows do full regular damage along with the spell's effect.

Basically, any spell with "touch" can now be used anywhere on the effective battlefield, as long as the Ranger is willing to shoot an arrow at his pal. And since many Divine spells are Touch only...
