Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

I believe there are things we cannot explain, whether these are ghosts like we think are unknown. Same for aliens and such. In 500 years, people will look back and call us simple for some of our beliefs like we do for older civilizations.

Just a couple of days ago I very clearly heard a feminine voice saying hello. I was in bed trying to go to sleep. I turned over to see if someone was in the room. It's wild what the mind can do. Where did it come from? How did it sound so real? Why does it happen? The one question I didn't ask; was it a ghost?

Not a believe at all in ghosts. My partner likes to joke that I drive all the ghosts away with my presence, since I've toured several famous "haunted" places and never had anything happen. I joked back I should charge people that do believe a per day fee to chill in their haunted house to deter the spirits.

I have not, at this point in my life, seen credible evidence that ghosts exist. I have friends who believe and one who is a medium. I do not try to disabuse them of their beliefs and, should I one day see evidence that supports it, I will change my position. Open mind

Now I said no on ghosts but it is funny how almost every culture believes in some kind of spiritual power

I think we've had people in positions of power who can absolutely not keep secrets. If we had aliens on ice or UFOs, we would know.

All of these cultures are made up of people who, as noted, have brains designed to do pattern matching (the better to see the predators in the tall grass looking to jump on us) and who thus turn every shadow or noise in the night into one of a few possible things.
