Are there any feats that allow a Sorc to bypass the metamagic restriction?

Doesn't the incantatrix prestige class from Magic of Faerûn have an instant metamagic ability? I don't have my books with me, but if memory serves me right it's a great way to avoid the full-round metamagic spellcasting.
