Are there any good "pole-armsman" Prestige Classes out there? (reach weapons)

Why bards?
Well, bards are pretty good fighters, but they wear light armor most of the time which doesn't make them excellent melee fighters. So people usually go ranged with them. But with this they can stand behind the burly men and attack with pole arms without penalty.

I suppose they still lose their spellcasting advancement, though, which hurts. Sucky class-based magic system. :D

I need to make a new character for one the games that I am in and I was thinking about a bard. I think I will try a Bard/Longblade and see how it goes. :D

PS. It is nice to see another Arlingtonite on these boards!

That being said, my local game shop doesn't carry it, and there is no preview of it avialable on the website

Not true.

In fact (hate to kill a sale, but) Glaive Master is one of the classes previewed!

May preview (Combo rules, Rod of Lordly Might master and Glaive master):

August preview (Crossbow and Dual Sai master):

Also, if its a review you want, there are some (including mine) on the site here; so to the "d20 reviews" link at the top of the page.

Cool, let us know how it goes. I actually moved to Plano a few months ago, I should change that. :)

Is there that much of a difference between Arlington and Plano? :)

Not having lived in either; I grew up in College Station. I have a sister-in-law in Plano though. We used to visit quite often until work took me to frikkin Michigan.

I'm having trouble with those links. Anyone else getting them. I sure would like those previews :)
