From the Escapist.

Dungeons & Dragons has an official magazine once more.

Wizards of the Coast has launched a new digital periodical, Dragon+, as a successor to Dragon Magazine.

Here is the link. Escapist.

It was put across as being and called "the predecessor" to Dragon magazine.

Those were The Escapist's words. They don't speak for WotC.

Find where *WotC* gave the impression, and you'll have a point.

I think you are confusing the words "predecessor" and "successor". They are very much opposites.

It's not very good, no.

But, crucially, it is improving - for me, the inclusion of the monthly adventure was a big step forward, and the recent addition of browser access is another.

I'd very much like to see them improve it further. But then, I suspect they would, too.

There's a Dragon+? Hunh. Didn't know that.

I didn't vote in the poll because I didn't know the product exists and haven't checked it out. I wouldn't subscribe to it. A few of you have said you'd subscribe to a print Dragon. The thing I super really miss isn't Dragon, it's Dungeon. If they were to offer a print Dungeon magazine again--even if it were expensive--I'd subscribe in a heartbeat.

You do know the source is Wizards of the Coast right?

Wizards used the same words as well.

you're going to have to point that out. cite. The article doesn't attribute those words directly to wotc. I do know that lots of folks made that assumption, me included. And I was disappointed that it wasn't, but it isn't Dragon, and what I've read from WotC doesn't call it that.

There's some neat stuff and each issue gets better. I like access to the adventures and the new monster statblock, and some previews.
It's not much, but I think they're seeing how it will work before spending more resources on it. It's decent so long as you don't compare it to Dragon Magazine, which seems to be a very different product.

They do seem to be adjusting on the fly a bit. For instance from what i can tell the adventures inclusion was a surprise.
